Re: Kylie Minogue: Babe of the week #46 (Nov. 2012)

You can look at my blog for a statue we have in Melbourne of her derriere. Her icon status is untouched after all these years which is quite an accomplishment given this country's tall poppy syndrome. Not marrying a series of dickheads like most do probably helps, she keeps her personal life private (though her Michael Hutchence revelations were rather TMI).

MY GOD how do I know this much about her, I'm hardly a fan, it must be in the water by now.

That's pretty cool. Not many celebs have actual statues of themselves out there that I know about. Myrna Loy and Marilyn Monroe are the only others I can think of.

In Australia if you go overseas and become famous you are as a god. Even, and sometimes especially, if you never return. Heck even Mel Gibson who only lived here for like ten years was Our Mel until he became too embarrassing.

Yeah, is there some overall contest besides the weekly polls?
Seeing how many times they can beat one off in a ten minute period?

Don't like her horrible manufactured music and she always reminded me of Prince on the cover of Lovesexy (check it out).
No comparison. Kylie has much better legs.
Yeah, but you got where I was coming from didn't you ?

To be perfectly accurate, it's a statue of her entire body, not just her butt.

Anyone else think the next Weeping Angels episode of Dr Who should be set in Melbourne?
