I've heard that some insurance companies aren't paying anything because they're classifying it as a flood, and most people don't have flood insurance as part of their homeowner's insurance.

Well she does have insurance but not flood. She wasn't in a flood zone, so she never had it. However the insurance adjuster is going out on Tuesday to have a look but we're pretty sure nothing will come of it. She has a little bit of savings but looks like she's going to be living with us permanently at this point. We are moving up to Syracuse in March and now she is coming with us. So this has changed our house search significantly. So now it looks like we're gonna build a house to fit our needs.

Thank you! I actually had my hair chopped off less than a week after that pic was taken. It took entirely too long to wash and dry. You are welcome to borrow the sari if you're ever in the area, though!
