Re: Relaunch continues: Christopher Bennet does Enterprise

^^ I don't think Christopher does requests. I read the blog page and was pleasantly surprised he seems a fellow traveller, esp as we haven't seen him much in these here parts. I might even be tempted to make it my sophomore TrekLit read

Maybe he's not that interested in steamy pictures of the male members of the ENT crew.

I really liked Christopher's analysis of the various ENT seasons, too.

You do know that there's already a 12-page thread about this topic in TrekLit that was started by Christopher himself...?
I don't think many people from the ENT board visit TrekLit forum.
Actually I pointed this out in a thread in this forum a week ago.

Apparently, people from the ENT board don't even read the messages in their own forum.

O.K., can I ask why, because I have no idea were this is coming from, unless you still hold a grudge from three years ago when you seemed to take umbrage at me disliking Kobayashi Maru. I don't remember having much contact beyond that with you.

(P.S. Could someone please quote this, so he can see the post?)

Re: Enterprise References in new STAR TREK book, FEDERATION

Uhhh...there already is a book titled Federation...

The United Federation of Planets the First 150 Years?

Anyway, Yippy!

What is that ship in the beginning? It looks like a cross between the Phoenix, the SS Conesotga and the NX-01?

The prime universe was not altered until 2233 so Enterprise occurred as seen on TV. It is the only series that is canon in both universes.
I love this fact.

I've always felt the timeline was altered way back before Nero arrived; why else would all the characters look different?

But they don't look different in-story. Spock Prime recognizes Kirk and Scotty on sight. They look different to us because they're being played by different actors. Just like Saavik looked different in TSFS than she did in TWOK. But within the imaginary universe that we're seeing a dramatized representation of, they're supposed to look the same. (Another example: in "Metamorphosis," Kirk and McCoy felt that Cochrane's face looked familiar, but Glenn Corbett looks nothing like James Cromwell. Ditto in TNG: "Bloodlines" -- Picard recognizes DaiMon Bok instantly even though he's played by Lee Arenberg instead of Frank Corsentino.)

I don't see why he'd leave, he's got a shot at beating Janeway if no one else.
