i've been hard on B&C, but this new trailer intrigues me. i like the inclusion of footage from caprica, as well as footage that could have been from caprica, but is clearly new.

there's also an article showcasing the CGI used in the series here.

still think it looks dumb, but a little less dumb.

Why not go for a balance again?
Shhh! You're making waaaay too much sense for ScyFy executives to comprehend!

It makes me want to watch Caprica again.

It looks wonderful.

And yes I know it's not going to be as wonderful as BSG, but I'm still very happy to have some more of this universe.

Great clip, but what was that annoying 'Adama is gonna get arrested' bullshit on the end of it?

Sign me up as someone who will watch this as it's released online - provided it continues to hold my interest. If the episodes start to drag, then I'll hold off until the DVD release. Otherwise, I'm perfectly content to see it in installments.

Well that wasn't so bad. Way way way too many lens flares though, but that might be covering up for the greenscreen sets.
Also isn't that guy commanding the Galactica the detective who died in Caprica? He seemed to know a lot about the Adamas.

I liked the first part.

This version of the Galactica is remarkably more sophisticated; the CIC is impressive.

If this predates BSG then how can the Galactica be more sophisticated?

It's at time before the Cylon's starting using networked computers against them? It was a full out war going on for 10 years and by nBSGs time the ship was pretty much on it's way out. Dumping it's ammo, gods know what else.

Galactica had been stripped for parts and was ready for use as a military museum.

Remember episode 1 AND 2 are out today. So watch the 2nd one too.

Really quite enjoyed both parts one and two. I agree that the lens flares are a rather OTT, but it's a solid effort so far. Looking forward to the rest of it, and I'll almost certainly buy the DVD.
