Wow, that was a crazy episode. I honestly expected Lori to be one of the few characters who was safe, at least for a few more years. I'm thinking at this point we'll just have to throw out the comics when it comes trying to predict where the show will go next. I haven't read them yet, but I've been reading up on them on Wikipedia and they seem to be diverging more and more as the show goes on.
Well, as you can probably tell, if they followed the comics, she would have only lasted until the end of the season (maybe even the end of this half).
Oh, I could have sworn when I read through the info in wikipedia that it said she died more recently than that.

C-section with proper entry to avoid major arteries, no clamps, no transfusion in case she lost too much blood...in other words, unless she somehow forced a normal vaginal birth, she was doomed.

Even if she was back in the cell with Carol and the limited medical supplies, her chances were not good.
Oh, I agree there was little chance of survival for a woman prone to needing a c-section, but she died like almost immediately after the incision & not long after she'd had some kind of rupture which was revealed on Maggie's hand

It just seemed a little forced. Nobody even checked her pulse
people keep going on about that but I don't know how it makes any difference. They didn't wait for Dale to die either. She was bleeding to death, there was no way to save her at that point, why draw it out.
Dale was neck bit & conscious with everyone around him. If Lori was just unconscious it might have been possible to keep her alive, & bring her around long enough to have a final moment with Rick, if in fact she was actually beyond saving, which no one even checked

I'm not saying it ruined the episode or anything. It was just a little forced

I am just curious. Did Carl really shot his mother in the head after she died? They did not show that. In the promo trailer for the next episode, Rick and Glenn are looking for her body.

It's been confirmed by Kirkman. It wasn't shown because even AMC has trouble with showing a kid shooting his mother in the head.

Forgive the language in the image. But, I was thinking this while watching the Governor practicing his golf swing. Who the heck is cutting the grass beyond the boundary walls of Woodbury?

Maybe its zombie grass. It doesn't grow anymore, but still keeps its lush greenness from all the ample foodstuff courtesy of a still-functioning sun.

Or, the prison invested in No Mow Grass which are genetically engineered strains of grass that never grow above 2" - 6".

Maybe Life after People needs a spin-off series looking at Life after zombie apocalypse.

New lawn mowers, just toss a legless Zombie out on the lawn, and toss out guts. It'll chomp the grass down for you while it's feeding.

That actually makes sense. This is how dirt tracks are created, after all.
