The Narada looked like the Shadow ships in Babylon 5.

And the Shadow ships looked kinda like the Lectroid ships from Buckaroo Banzai, therefore J.J. Abrams must in actuality be an undercover agent for... [Dunt! Dunt! Dunnnn!] ... Yoyodyne Propulsion Systems!

kill the Wampa
I though Luke just cut off one of it's arms. Not necessarily fatal.

Episode VII will be about the Wampa seeking revenge against Luke.

That Wampa did survive in the EU but was killed off in Darksaber.

Just wait till JJ adds ewoks or frog rabbit gungans in his movies. Maybe we'll see some in Into Darkness. I'd like to see the Wars naysayers dispute that.

We'll we've already had Sulu and his extendable Katana *cough* lightsaber homage *cough*. Wouldn't be much of a stretch.

I want to see Spock kill Cumberbatch in the first

two minutes of the film, before the opening credits.

That'll surprise the fans !!

Not really, it'll just mean that the next scene is going to be something like "five days earlier" and we'll see the story devlop from there. A common Abrams trope.

Even if there are similarities between Star Wars and Star Trek XI does that mean people have expectations that I should not like Star Trek XI?

Sure, I can see some similarities but I liked Star Trek XI a whole lot.

In all honesty I said back in the 80s that Star Trek needed to adopt some aspects of Star Wars. I am glad that they actually did that. For instance, one complaint is that the Enterprise going to warp was more like Star Wars. I like this change, it adds a sense of realism that the other effect lacked.

It would be for a Wampa. It's not like he can check himself into Hoth General Hospital

Lightsabers tend to cauterize wounds.

It's only a flesh wound.
