"The Gathering" was a pretty good episode, but a little too rushed. Definitely should have been a four parter.

It was part one of a four-parter, in fact. The story arc is called "Young Jedi."

I was seriously hoping you were kidding. Then I checked the episode guide... Ah well, it may yet end up not sucking.

I'm starting to wonder if they've moved exclusively to 4-part story arcs. Maybe the plan is to package them as movies for DVD release, kind of like what Lucas did with Young Indiana Jones.

David Tennant will play a droid who "plays an important in the Jedi younglings' quest to build their lightsabers" in Saturday's episode.
I could see this arc working out pretty well if each episode just followed a step in the younglins' training.

I'm trying to figure put of "Huyang" is some pun (young Who?). They didn't go with D-R-Ten-N or the like at least.

Really enjoyed this episode. Lots of good stuff with the younglings and Ahsoka, and David Tennant's character was fun. I'm a big Hondo fan, so I really enjoyed his stuff too.

As soon I heard the voice I wondered it it was him (confirmed in the credits). There was also a Doctorish element to the droid he was voicing.

Enjoyable episode though what did it have to do with the Clone Wars exactly? Whatever...I liked it so so what. Hondo is a cool/fun bad guy. David Tennant's character was awesome. And this season seems to be the season of Asoka. So far she's been involved in every episode in a fairly big way (I don't think she was in the season premiere though).

I am just curious. Does the canon or non canon books mention anything about Ahsoka Tano's death? She was Anakin's Padawan after all.

Ahsoka's fate will be revealed in the series, as confirmed by Dave Filoni.
