Re: Green Arrow (CW)

The Borg Queen?

That sort of evil doesn't wash off the soul easily.

(Voyager's Borg Queen silly.)

And did you see her as the Queen on Kings?

She eats her own children!

I think the actress is draw to certain regal rolls.

The Borg Queen wasn't evil, just misunderstood.

I didn't see Kings, I wanted to but then it was cancelled and I never bothered. Is it good and does she literally eat her children? Sounds like fun.

Re: Green Arrow (CW)

She has sex with her nephew played by McCauly Culkin years before the show started.

He arrives back in town as an emotionally scarred little bastard who is thinks that maybe it's a bad thing that she ruined his childhood, even if he REALLY liked it at the time.

the anticipation of waiting McCaully to detonate is nail biting.

Kings has a strong pilot, wanders a bit, then the king starts getting jealous, and finally in the last couple episodes GOD turns up and you begin to wonder if the bible is literal like they insist it is, or that the King is just batshit because his fantasy has substance.

The princess is pretty, but she st6ill, even today looks like she is seven years old, in her role on the new sitcom Go On.

Sorry about the eating her children misdirect, it was an allusion to Medea.

Do you guys think the mom is a bad guy or a good guy who goes to extremes? Right now she looks bad but it could go either way and her being bad seems a little bit too obvious.
Kind of hard to apply the "good guy" label to someone who hires a group of mercenaries who kill indiscriminately to kidnap and torture her own traumatized son, and then try and kill him too when he escapes. Whatever her motives may be, she's pretty clearly a nogoodnik.

^ I think both of the Queen parents were nogoodniks and the father had a change of heart. He was going to spill everything to Oliver on the trip but nature stepped in and Mom is still worried that he knows all the deep dark secrets.

This episode will have Ty Olsson in it, he's one of my favourite actors so I'm quite happy with this.

Who's with me in guessing at some point in the series we'll get the old "you don't really think the boat sinking was an accident do you?"

That probably goes without saying, although I'm not sure how any bad guy could arrange for a storm and waves . . . unless we're venturing into serious super-villain territory.

I'm thinking the storm was just conincidental and that there was some sort of sabotage - well unless the storm sunk the Queen's Gambit before the saboteur could sink it.

Or 3rd theory - the storm was an ideal cover for the sabatouge. Yacht goes down in calm waters and people investgate. Yacth goes down in a big storm a) any evidence of shenningangs is disposed of and b) most people simply take the sinking as an unfortuante accident.

I watched on interview IGN did with Marc Guggenheim and he wouldn't answer when asked if John Barrowman is somebody comic fans would be familiar with, and he did say that Huntress will be appearing in both parts of a two part storyline running through episode 7 and 8 (I think). He said that he thinks that the actress who plays Huntress, Jessica De Gouw, has a future as a big star. For people who are wondering where they're going with Laurel Lance he said episodes 3 and (I think) 5 will give us a pretty clear idea of what direction they'll be taking her.

Well I thought that went quite well for a second episode. We got the sabatoged yacht reveal a lot earlier than I thought we would and the villian turned out to be an after thought really, but I think overall it was a pretty good showing.

Has he ever fought GA in the comics? The bigger names sometimes crossover but a C-lister like this?
I guess it could be a chance for some exposure and growth outside of animation though.

So...

A forced confession while been shot arrows by a maniac that killed or injured several people?

Yes, that is going to hold in court (?).
