Re: Tuvix - dumbest character in star trek history?

I reckon he'd try and turn it into a Dr. Phil style show.

"I have the wisdom and experiences of two men!"

He'd have a very hard time finding guests. Maybe he'd book the Delaney sisters and try and shmooze them about how he really understands twins because he's two people too. He'd say a lot of inappropriate things thinking he was being charming. It would be a fabulous train wreck but since Starfleet doesn't do that kind of humor, a short lived one.

Re: Tuvix - dumbest character in star trek history?

kes was supposed to be as in love with him now, during the Tuvix escapade, as she was in love with half of him the week before.

Considering what was said in Warlord about Tuvok and Kes, it seems possible that if Tuvok loved Kes as much or more than Neelix, then that Tuvix loved Kes three or four times as much as Neelix.

Only now the age difference is even creepier.

UNLESS. You count Tuvix as being as old as his creation, then Kes gets to be the older woman. That does sound like the kind of line Tuvix would pull out of his ass, all the while beaming away like a maniac.

You don't want to hold his hand and tell him all your troubles?

THE EXPERIENCE AND WILL AND LIFE OF TWO MEN!

I just think the "I have the will to live of two men!" line is hilarious because it did him no good at all.

Re: Tuvix - dumbest character in star trek history?

There were two Wills on TNG and neither of them wanted to run away and have a life with with Dee.

I'm sensing a pattern.

Re: Tuvix - dumbest character in star trek history?

All that arguing between them was about how much they only wanted each other. Anyone who spends five minutes studying Riker knows this.

Re: Tuvix - dumbest character in star trek history?

2 weeks of Imazadi, and he runs because his career is more important.

10 years later, his transporter Clone after being stranded on a volcanic planet alone for 8 years, a week is all he can take of the Imzadi reup before he runs off because his career was more important.

(I forget, was the line "Are you still tapping that?" in the episode or a dream I had?)

He left her twice.

And the Will that didn't go to Cardassian jail, ignored her for 16 years until a magic vigra planet tricked them into having a bath together.

They never would have hooked up if it hadn't been for the magic Viagra planet.

Re: Tuvix - dumbest character in star trek history?

Imzadi is the worst Trek book I ever read. I literally threw it across the room.

Anyway.. she doesn't even seem to hold much of a torch for him in TNG. Was this just one of those "if we don't marry by X age we will settle for each other" deals?

I'll admit though that the Worf romance with Troi was even stupider.

Re: Tuvix - dumbest character in star trek history?

Magic Viagra Planet.

They both had plenty of relationships on the Enterprise D, Tom Riker asked Will for permission, and Worf asked Will for permission, although apart from that, they both seemed like completely free agents.

Wasn't there a moment where Dee laid down the law that Lwaxanna was not allowed her sloppy seconds?

Re: Tuvix - dumbest character in star trek history?

By sloppy seconds you mean the whole of Enterprise D? Because that's what Deanna forbade Lwaxana from hitting on

I can't remember the viagra planet. What episode was this? I suspect it would be one of my least watched eps ever.

I would have ended the episode with both Neelix and Tuvok giving Captain Kathy a really dirty look.

Disgust mixed with contempt, disappointment and loss of confidence.

Fade out to credits.

So you think Tuvok and Neelix were happier as one?

I feel like they wouldn't let that go. Like, now he's killed the doctor, do we really want him treating people? Probably would add more fuel to the fire, not only are two lives at stake, but he's a definite danger.

Was he really second officer? I mean I know he had Tuvok's rank and he was chief of security, but you'd think they wouldn't put a transporter accident that high up...
Suder killed a real person and his punishment was just to be told to go to his room effectively.

Funny how murder isn't a capital crime in Janeway's book but cowardice is.

Re: Tuvix - dumbest character in star trek history?

Viagra planet = Ba'ku.

Star Trek Insurrection.

Everyone was becoming younger and erotic.

IRL, TV Guide told me, that TPTB told Pat Stewart that if he was getting Younger then he would have wear a rug, Pat said "Fuck that" and an argument continued for weeks until he finally compromised that his character would be caught up in the intergalactic dance of youth: The Mambo.
