It's possible, but unlikely, that they could pull a City Slickers 2 and have Gregg play Coulson's identical twin. Or that Coulson will be a virtual reality or holographic character based on the original.

But it does look like the real thing is back. Brilliant news. Kinduva cheat but I do think that the clues are there in the original movie that he's not really dead, so it's not a total cop-out, IMHO.

I can just imagine Thor rubbing this in Loki's face - how he not only failed the invasion of Earth, but he also failed to actually kill Coulson.

With no DC Nation I watched the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon on Disney which I hadn't seen in a while. Agent Coulson is doing well over there even taking Aunt May out on a date.

If he's part of the end credits scene, then Stark doens't necessarily have to know he's alive. After all, the lead characters aren't always involved in those post-credit scenes.

I wonder this to.

however this is a movie verse, based on not just one, but many many comics. Coulson may not actually be a created for comics character, but that does not mean he should not be able to cheat death like his comic book counterparts.

Lets face it even Thor and Loki being in the Avengers kinda ruins the end of the first Thor movie.

Also Wheedon is a bloke not overly a fan of killing somebody off completely, he killed of Harmony, simply to make her interesting.
