Morrison was really channeling All-Star Superman, especially in the moment where Superman (we're told) never breaks a promise.

Read "Action."

Really enjoyed it. Both the primary story and the secondary one.

... Did I miss where/when the FoS went from the BRAINIAC ship in orbit to being the crystalline fortress we all know and love in the arctic?
This takes place in the present I think. The events of the first story took place several years in the past.

Yep the present arc takes place in the "Now" of the 52'Verse while the first arc took place roughly around six or so years in the past. The timeline I posted earlier does a good job of placing events.

So... Basically the idea behind Power Girl is that she's hot and her clothes get shredded a lot, right?

I feel like it's a meta critique of the stupid costume the Powers That Be designed for her.

So the new Action Comics creative team maybe Andy Diggle, and Tony Daniel on art (only).

I'll probably still check them out.

He's the artist/writer on the current Detective Comics right? I've looked through some of the previews on Comixology, and he's ok. I've seen worse, but I've definitely seen better. I don't think I'd go so far as to call him great.

He was the writer on "Detective Comics". He just left...I don't think he was the artist. I won't say that he's an excellent artist. He's a decent artist and terrible writer.

Comixology says Tony Salvador Daniel did the writing, pencils, and covers for at least the first 3 or 4 issues, and number 12. There might have been some other artists or writers between those issues, they were the only ones I looked at.

This is interesting...but then again it's Liefeld so take it with a grain of salt. NYCC though whatever the case has the potential to be huge this year with all the promised/rumoured/expected announcements both companies have planned.

http://www.ign.com/articles/2012/10/...-team-revealed IGN's article on the new Action Comics team. Ugh, seeing that preview art from Tony Daniel, I'm having nightmares of the "Superman Lives" artwork, from the Tim Burton film that never was.

I don't mind the suit as a temporary thing, but I really wish angry, Satan-eyed Superman would go away.
