^Really? They don't have him listed in the main or recurring cast for Season 2 on wikipedia. I know that's not completely reliable, but people seem to be pretty good about keeping up with this stuff as it's announced.
Do we know yet if they're doing The Little Mermaid this season? I know they've said repeatedly that they want to do it, but I can't remember if they've said when they will.

Will we see August or Jefferson this season?
Yes to both. One sooner than the other.
Thanks! I wondered if filming for Captain America: Winter Soldier would decide the availability of SS this season.

I thought I read somewhere that the Littel Mermaid was a go for this year, but I don't recall where.

Frankenstein? That's even further outside the fairytale milieu than Wonderland.

Eion Bailey is no longer in the main credits. They also removed Raphael Sbarge from the main cast and he was listed as a guest star for the premiere.

Well, we've already had characters from Greek mythology (King Midas), Mulan, and Wonderland, so they're obviously casting a very wide net . . . .

Maybe Dr. Whale's fairy tale character will come from her story and he was one of the mermen in her father's court.

Maybe they'll replace the actor and not leave Pinocchio out of the story.

They could always replace him with a CGI puppet, but that might put a damper on his budding romance with Emma!

We're also getting Captain Hook, and I don't believe Peter Pan is considered a fairy tale. Although it does involve fairies....
Hmm, I wonder if one of their fairies is going to be revealed as Tinkerbell?

And is "Pinocchio" a fairy tale? It's a story by Carlos Collodi, not an old folk tale like Snow White or Cinderella.

Although it does have a Blue Fairy in it . . . .

Re: Once Upon A Time - Season 2 Thread

Well Disney did turn them into animated movies so that makes them Disney 'fairy tales' and Disney is involved with Tim Burtons Frankenweenie

A lot of the non traditional 'fairy tale' type stories are probably having characters on the show because of their Disney association. We have Lancelot appearing this year and Disney had The Sword in the Stone movie in the 70s.

Re: Once Upon A Time - Season 2 Thread

The show constantly refers to them as "storybook characters," hence the, ahem, clever name of the town. And "storybook" is generally used to refer to books with stories aimed at children. So that's hardly limited to Grimm's Fairy Tales.

That said, I really don't consider Frankenstein to be a story aimed at children. And if he is Frankenstein, that means a lot of screwed-up stuff should be around, too, least of which being his monster.
