Rashida Leah Jones was born in Los Angeles to music legend Quincy Jones and actress Peggy Lipton. Jones grew up in Bel Air and attended the prestigious Buckley School. She proved to be a model student at an early age, earning high marks in most of her classes and eventually winning the title of Most Likely to Succeed. Jones’ musical abilities became evident at an early age, as she was winning awards for her piano-playing chops by the time she was five. Her budding music career was put on hold after her parents split up and she was sent to live with her mother, though it soon become clear that she possessed a similar passion for acting. She also graduated from Harvard in 1997.

Parks and Recreation is a mockumentary that looks at the exciting world of local government. The documentary cameras follow Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler), a mid-level bureaucrat in the Parks and Recreation Department of Pawnee, Indiana. In an attempt to beautify her town -- and advance her career -- Leslie takes on what should be a fairly simple project: help local nurse Ann Logan (Rashida Jones) take on defensive bureaucrats, selfish neighbors, real estate developers and single-issue fanatics -- whose weapons are lawsuits, the jumble of city codes and the very democratic process that Leslie loves so much. Aziz Ansari, Aubrey Plaza, Chris Pratt, Adam Scott and Rob Lowe also star.

I liked her on Boston Legal and The Office but never could get into Parks&Recreation.
When I have seen P&A Rashida is still great, since the show is focused on Amy Poehler's character that's my main reason for not liking the show. Not a Poehler fan.

I thought she was okay and then I was surprised to find out her father is Quincy Jones. I looked again at her face and oh yeah, Quincy Jones.

Now whenever I see her I just see Quincy Jones and all my babe thoughts are ruined.

I like her. She was good as the fiance of a Rush fan in I Love You Man. Her role as a young litigator in the Social Network was quite good. But her bit at 1:18 of the video is the best two seconds of her career:
