Re: Dredd - Grade, Review, Discuss, Spoilers
This is what the recent lacklustre Total Recall remake should have been like. Some great Verhoeven style violence. Also, not gonna lie, I did spend a lot of the movie thinking Olivia Thrilby looked exactly like porn star Lily LaBeau ![]() ![]()

Re: Dredd - Grade, Review, Discuss, Spoilers
To be honest with the trailer focusing on the slow mo and the graphic violence I wasn't expecting it to be much more than a high violence B-Movie so I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the film. Given all the behind the scenes strife I've read about it's especially surprising that it turned out to be so good.

Re: Dredd - Grade, Review, Discuss, Spoilers
Parts didn't fit with what I seem to remember of the comics, but other than I had fun. Parts of it did remind me of The Raid but that's been said by various people when the trailer came out. Edit - With regards to Anderson, I may have seen her in Juno and The Darkest Hour, though I don't remember her in either

Thinking about it, I got a huge Mass Effect vibe for big chunks of the film too in terms of atmosphere and style. Which is only ever a good thing. Last edited by MNM; September 9 2012 at 02:00 AM. |

Re: Dredd - Grade, Review, Discuss, Spoilers
Hope for a sequel but a more 2D orintated sequel since it seems a tough task to find any showins in 2D.
