Well, if it was good enough for Tuvok's ponn far.
EXACTLY.

People die of gunshot wounds in holo programs you know. It's the same principle.
So riddle me this, in First Contact did Picard riddle that Borg with bullet holes or did Picard riddle that Drone with holovaginas?
That's what we never wanted you to figure out.

*sigh*

Well, it potentially ramps up the allure.

The next step up the ramp is to riddle the bugger with diddles.

Oops. The Continuum won't be pleased with me. "limit yourself to primitive linear perspectives during your time among them, Nasat...."

Re: Janeway returning to Trek Lit?

Of course Picard didn't stop at bullets. He's a Melville fan so harpoons are on the agenda.

Never mind, we will NEVER tell them. Just pretend it's our primitive typing skills.

I feel guilty about all you readers who are still waiting for your copies. It utterly rocked. I have a little suggestion, buy Kirsten Beyers Children of the Storm -the Voy book that precedes this one to get some backstory - it's still in some bookstores. Even better, buy and read them all. increased book sales will make S & S notice and ensure that Beyers - who is obviously a true Janeway's fan herself, will be allowed to continue to write the Voy books. I have really enjoyed her treatment of the relaunch and hope she stays with the franchise a long long time.

Re: Janeway returning to Trek Lit?

I bought them both from bookdepository.co.uk, very cheap! Hopefully this registers as increased sales Haven't gotten them yet though.

Re: Janeway returning to Trek Lit?

LOL I'm maybe going to end up getting four "copies" (3 paperbacks and the Kindle version) of Eternal Tide (well it depends on if I can find 3 other books or not for the "4 for 3" promo on Amazon), so I think will be able to say I've supported Ms. Beyer pretty well in the sales aspect in this her latest endeavor. I already have her previous 3 Voy. books on hand (those bought used) so that is probably enough for me otherwise, heh. 9/2 PS I did find another book to buy so ended up getting "only" 2 more copies of TET, oh well, guess I still contributed to the sales figures pretty decently, lol.

Re: Janeway returning to Trek Lit?

I know if I find it in a real store before my order arrives I'll buy it.

KIRSTEN KIRSTEN MY BOYCOTT IS OVER!! I'm lying in the shallows waiting for the eternal tide to wash over me.

I preordered it a couple of months ago from Amazon.co.uk. I just checked, expected delivery date is THE END OF SEPTEMBER. Others are reading it now. In England.

I don't think I'm going to bother preordering from Amazon any more....
That's happened to me with them before, definitely not worth it.
Yes, I stopped using Amazon not too long ago. KingDaniel, I'd recommend the Book Depository; they've been excellent so far.
I've just cancelled my Amazon order and made one with Book Depository. It's even a few pennies cheaper. Thanks!

Re: Janeway returning to Trek Lit?

Book Depository is awesome. It's particularly awesome when you live in Australia as TET is almost 1/3 the cost of buying it in the shops.
