Hey, at least it still lets you change the wallpaper, can't take that for granted on Gnome .

Now it's appearing. It's good now.

Looks great!
Thanks bro. I like my desks Star Trek themed, but very subtly so that non-fan people don't notice.

I like the mix of the early TNG-style uniform with the later commbadge design. I think the early NEXT GEN Starfleet costumes might have looked a little cooler with the more recent communicators stuck to them.

Re: The new Post Your Desktop thread

This one's a serious work in progress...

Got the basics of the LCARS interface working there... basic CPU stats, information, HDD information and Network information... a few links on the left as well...

I'm not overly happy with the clock or network rates though... still working on those

I don't know which is more badass. Cute, Sexy Nicole. Or Imperial Walkers at Normandy.

Don't you dare force me to choose. You beasts.

Gnome 3 ? That's courageous...
It's growing on me. It is still way too cumbersome to really be useful though, and I prefer the direction KDE is going, which is really hard to admit being a long-time GNOME lover.

Mach5 wrote: View Post
It's just nowhere near as good as Gnome 2 (and Gnome Classic is too buggy to be usable).
Have you tried MATE ore Cinnamon? Both are much more stable and user friendly than Gnome Classic IMO. The former is definitely the more mature/stable, but the latter is more feature rich. I believe they are both in the Ubuntu repositories, but don't quote me on that.

There's no such thing as "too much Nikki." Still my favorite Trek gal of all time.

Methos's Caitian is sort of making me itch to get back into the game.

Oh.

I notice she's heavily armored everywhere except her crotch, though. Just sayin'.

Not that I'm filthy-minded. Or anything.
