SPOILER:

Another "prominent" couple on Voyager has found out they are expecting in this book, so that might be the only birth to be anticipated in the (hopefully) next Voy. novel, heh.

Thank you, Facebook's Star Trek Books Community, for totally spoiling the end in a facebook newsfeed update without ANY warning. Fuck you, you fucking idiot. Unlike.

And goodbye, avoiding this thread because maybe they'll have a few other suprises in the book when I actually get to read it.

Re: Janeway returning to Trek Lit?

Well that totally sucks. Though it's nice that KJ's return is not just another random Treklit development but spoiler-worthy.

I thought the cover art and blurb were pretty huge spoilers.

Re: Janeway returning to Trek Lit?

Nope. Who knows how she could be returning, she could have been some quasi-Q-esque-force. Hovering over the crew like on the cover. Or she could have been returning as Chak's spirit guide (my god that would sucked).

Re: Janeway returning to Trek Lit?

It might have been kind of amusing in the book if a super-large KJ had suddenly appeared in the DQ fluttering over Voyager, like some rogue spirit-goddess, lol, altho may have also seemed sort of wacky, heh.

Re: Janeway returning to Trek Lit?

I am a bad fan. I enjoy protesting more than reading. I still do not have the book.

In my defence I want to buy it in a bookstore to photograph the momentous occasion of the end of my boycott of Treklit. Buying it on ebay seems weak. But it is (so far) not in any book store in Melbourne including the one that gets them sent by air.

I preordered it a couple of months ago from Amazon.co.uk. I just checked, expected delivery date is THE END OF SEPTEMBER. Others are reading it now. In England.

I don't think I'm going to bother preordering from Amazon any more....

I know... it ticked me off that Barnes & Noble was distributing it 5 days before Amazon claimed it was even being released!

I ordered mine 8/3, and its earliest delivery date is 9/4-9/10.

People have already finished reading the damn book, and all the local bookstores near me STILL DON'T HAVE THE FREAKING BOOK!

I am clearly lacking patience in this instance, as you can probably tell.
