Yes, likewise. There's an undercurrent of panic and exhaustion. Sure, it's gratuitously violent at times (in a way that doesn't serve story or character--see my earlier comment on Ultimate Avengers), but the broken world is very compelling. More BSG than Star Trek: TNG.
