You two might be within stalking distance of each other.

Gosh.

I have the Tasman Sea between me and Teacake but I still feel intimidated.

Brave lady, just stick your face out a window and scream at the utmost of your lungs strength '"Read faster damn it!"

(it worked for Peter Finch.)

I'm settling in now for my vigil. I'm watching Caprica, drinking tea and hitting refresh on this forum waiting for The News. Lucky for forum readers there is no alcohol involved.

Re: Janeway returning to Trek Lit?

And boy do I regret my abstinence. Between the disappointment of Caprica and the utter SILENCE on this very important matter my evening has SUCKED. And yet my vigil must continue because it would be a very weak vigil if I went to bed before suffering sufficiently.

And now I must put on the kettle.

And don't anyone say anything about Caprica because I'm not done with it.

The butler did it in the library with a kitchen knife.

Re: Janeway returning to Trek Lit?

It's 9:56am in NYC. Surely that's enough time to wake up and get to the book store and read the LAST PAGE. And yet the internet is silent.

Re: Janeway returning to Trek Lit?

Some guy on the Amazon COS discussion thread (where lots of people commented @ wanting KJ back) posted this morning that KJ fans would be happy w/ TET, so we should buy the book, (but he didn't want to spoil it), then he turned up on the Facebook Bring Back KJ group as a new member and said the same thing. So we asked him if KJ was a live human at the end of the book and he said (see below):

SPOILERS(maybe)

"Yes she is." but since he's a new member from this morning, not sure whether to believe him, ack, I'm going out today again to look for my own copy, (but FYI).

I'm SO confused.

"My" amazon says the book isn't even being released until 8/28.

It worked for me...

OK, but it doesn't get any better.

Re: Janeway returning to Trek Lit?

In the BBS Trek lit section for the last two recent Trek books that were supposed to come out on a Tuesday, people reported that they were in bookstores (ie Barnes&Noble) as early as the Wednesday night before the Tuesday they were due out. And also on the site Trekmovie.com the reviewer of Raise the Dawn said he got his copy at B&N the Friday before its due out date. Another guy on our FB group also said his copy at B&N in NY is waiting for him (that was this AM, so we're waiting...). I'm going to try again in Chicago today, there are 2 B&Ns I can go to & also another bookstore. PS the new guy at BBKJ claimed he got TET at his local B&N in Los Angeles, more later....

I totally agree, but then there are a couple of people that I do know and I wouldn't trust them either. I would trust GS, she has been a long time friend and a great beta reader.

Re: Janeway returning to Trek Lit?

I'm resisting the temptation to take an hour trip into the bookstore here that will have it. I can see myself frantically posting from my phone the last page, LOLOL
