No, I haven't read the books yet, as I'm finally catching up with some other Trek books that I got for a quarter each (Titan and A Time To series) at our local library sale. I've just read the summaries from Memory Beta, but I am not very happy with how some characters are treated, least of all Janeway.

In the meantime, pick up the Star Trek 100-Page Spectacular Summer 2012 by IDW comics, with Janeway. I can't give a review, as I had to special order mine today. They also are coming out later in the year with something, at least from the comic con preview, something involving the Borg, Seven and Picard by Braga.

I'd like to get that.. but I'm honestly scared of comics because of the financial commitment and my tendency to be completist. I was scarred early on as well when my sister threw out my The Amazing Spiderman 121 Yes people are listing it for 300.00 on ebay now but the money isn't even the point, it's actually painful to think about it and the other ones in the stack that ended up in the garbage. It's like some bad drug trip reminder that comes up and suffocates me whenever people start talking about comics. I need to reprogram myself. I did buy the Countdown comics of NuTrek but every time I look at them I remember my personal possessions tragedy.

Yeah that is kind of dumb.. I'm not even very attached to stuff normally, the whole house could burn down and I would honestly get over it without too much drama. I just have a few triggers of lost items like that.

It's reported out at least in NYC; I was at a B&N in Chicago, near downtown, at 6PM today, no luck, but now expect it out tomorrow (but maybe tonight info will come out which will mean whether I care about the book or not...).
