Shia LaBeouf says the sex scenes in Lars von Trier's Nymphomaniac will be the real deal.

As THR exclusively reported, the 26-year-old actor signed on to star in the controversial Danish director's latest project, an erotic two-part drama that begins production next month and will be released in two cuts, one more sexuality explicit than the other.

As for LaBeouf, the ex-child star known for his roles in the Transformers movies and the latest Indiana Jones installment has traded standard studio fare for indie films.

"I'm done," he vents to THR in this week's issue. "There's no room for being a visionary in the studio system. It literally cannot exist. You give Terrence Malick a movie like Transformers, and he's f---ed. There's no way for him to exist in that world."

Oh well.

My hope that Transformers 4 will not have him going around screaming "nononononono" has finally come true.

LOL, Charlotte Gainsburg, that depressed porn actress that thinks she's a method actor. I love it when actors and actresses get so confused with what they do that they end up having unsimulated sex in front of the camera or unsimulated fight scenes, just because they think somehow it elevates their work. I can only when I read or see about that.

In general, I love it when "art films" do that. It's intellectual porn. The story and characters are just as stupid as in real porn, and the sex scenes are real, and most of the time, they are more aesthetic than in porn. And that's the reason why people watch these films. Not because of the "art". But I don't think anyone of the involved realizes that. Instead, they become all elistist about how they elevated the art of film to new levels. I love it.

Speaking of Terrence Malick (Shia's new idol, apparently): am I the only person who hated The Thin Red Line? It's one of the few movies that I've stopped watching half-way through.

Eh. He was pretty good in Indiana Jones. The diner scene and motorcycle chase are the best parts of the film. Good for him though, if he only wants to do indie films, more power to the guy.

Here's another one.. saw it way back at the theatre and i swear i was watching a boring three hour movie.. it just wouldn't end. My buddy and mine thought about leaving.. would have been a first for me.

As to Shia:

Good for him to call out the studio system and call shit for what it is.. he may get blacklisted now but he's set for life financially and can now do films he really wants without worrying how to make rent and have some food on the table.
