So, what, a person only gets 20 minutes to reply to something these days? Smugness is not an attractive characteristic. I didn't reply right away because it was midnight and I went to bed.

I just don't care about this argument. You bought a book that turned out differently than you expected. Boo-frickin-hoo.
I'm just messing with you, RoJoHen.

Oh, I didn't buy the book. I did skim through it a while back at the store because I was curious.

EMH I might have to apologize...I think you could be correct about that specific from the trailer piano cue being absent from the score. I don't hear that specific one, but there is fantastic piano music from the trailer in the score.
Okay, good. I was beginning to think I was going crazy because I relistened to the track you suggested it was in and it didn't sound anything like that piece. I saw the film again last night I definitely didn't hear in the film.

Which leads me to as again, what is that piece from?

Oh it's a junior novel.
Junior or not, they should give us the WHOLE story.
Did they do a second one covering the other half maybe? I noticed that some of the stuff I've seen for movies like Avengers seems to only cover certain elements of the story. I'm not sure if that includes the YA novelizations though, most of those seem to be the stuff geared towards younger kids.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises Anticipation Station

I believe the piece is from Hans score because it sounds so close to Selina's theme...but not just featured in the commercial release. That'd be my best guest. Most of the music from the trailers is all in the score. This is kind of why everyone's already been hoping for a complete score leak soon lol.

Dream, I find it hilarious that you’re so upset about being duped into wasting your time reading a book whose target audience wasn’t even born when you registered for this board.

I'm not that upset. Just annoyed that they did a novelization for children, but not one for teens or adults.

The main reason these junior books were made was as advertising. They were hoping it will get the kids that read the books to see the movie for the ending. But they would haven't gone anyway after seeing the cool trailers! They seem so pointless.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises Anticipation Station

That's why I don't bother with the junior novels any more. They're for a different demographic and really pointless for older readers. Novelizations seem to have gone by the wayside since the recession...not sure if that is the reason, but that is when I noticed they started to vanish. I'm disappointed still "Amazing Spider-Man" wasn't novelized. Peter David did one for "Real Steal" but not that, this still baffles me lol. I'm very pleased Greg did "The Dark Knight Rises" I've completed the trilogy in print form now

The screenplays will be released next month for those interested...

Does anyone know if James Cameron is still planning on writing his Avatar novelization? I'm assuming at this point it's to far from the release of the movie for anyone to give a crap if it does come out.

Regarding Peter, I think you mean "Transformers" or "Battleship."

The only tie-in book for "Real Steel" was a reprint of the original story by Richard Matheson . . . .

Re: The Dark Knight Rises Anticipation Station

Yep my mistake. It was for "Battleship"...even worse!!!

@JD no news on Cameron's Avatar book now for a good year and a half. He mentioned that he wanted to write it and have it published prior to the release of the sequels, so I guess that gives him enough time to actually work on it.

This thread really doesn't need to remain open any more lol. @Neroon would you be so kind as to close it? I don't think JacksonArcher will mind too much
