Picked up some figures on the cheap in B&M Bargains (UK). Peasant Padme & Anakin, Kit Fisto and Zam Wessell. All under a fiver each.

Re: The Action Figure and Toy Collecting and Discussion Thread!

I stopped into a TJ Maxx on a whim yesterday and it paid off. I found some of the last wave of Iron Man 4 inch figures that never ever made it to regular retail. Most of them are just kiddy repaints, but there was a nice War Machine with light up chest, an Air Force Hammer Drone, and a very cool looking repaint of the Mark IV in translucent red plastic.

B&M must be a lot like our TJ Maxx, Marshall's and Ross stores over here in the States. They also sell older Vintage Collection waves(particularly the Attack of the Clones one) for $4.99 or thereabouts per figure. My local stores have had quite a few of the Mace Windu and Zam figures from that wave.

Some stores in those chains have also seen shipments of the "Revenge of the Jedi" wave assortment that had all the chase variants of Slave Leia, Boba Fett, the TIE Pilot and others. Haven't seen those myself, but they've been found in different parts of the country.

My Hunger Games Katniss Barbie doll has been shipped! I can't wait. She wasn't supposed to be out until September. The preview pictures looked good.

Why am I not surprised they made a HG Barbie? Would she compete against Malibu Stacy?

Re: The Action Figure and Toy Collecting and Discussion Thread!

If Kenner and then Hasbro didn't have jealous possession of the Star Wars toy license you just know there'd have been a slew of SW Barbies by now. We came awfully close with a few of the original 12" dolls from the end of the seventies. There was even a Princess Leia with change of clothes and a brush for her hair.

I kinda thought that the Brave Barbies were completely missing the message of that movie.

My Green Lantern and Superman bobbleheads arrived yesterday! Both of them look fantastic. I'll be posting a pic tomorrow along with other collection stuff.

Ordinarily, I'd be all "Yay! Green Lantern" but no, not Ryan Reynolds Green Lantern. The wounds are still too deep.

Haha I hear that! God, what a terrible movie. I desperately hope they get somebody new for Hal if the sequel gets the green light (Which is being talked about I guess) *shiver* Reynolds was horrific.

Re: The Action Figure and Toy Collecting and Discussion Thread!

They could hire John Goodman to play Hal and it'd be a noticeable improvement. That movie was all sorts of disappointing wrapped up in a soft taco made of Fail flour. I hope the sequel's a LOT better.

Cool toy, though. At least the toys weren't that bad. Most of 'em, anyways.

That's not Ryan Reynolds! That's Ben Stiller!
