I was definitely getting the McGuiness vibe the whole time... and having the Batman Beyond car flying around helped too.
Heh! Now that you mention it, that's a perfect set up for Batman Beyond with that Car.

Wasn't there a Toy of John Blake in a Batman Beyond type costume too?

Saw it. Loved it. The beginning might be a little long on repeated viewings, but the rest is wonderful.

Loved the ending. All possible endings I thought of were actually put all into one, that's pretty cool.

There's not many options anyway. He dies, he stops or his identity is revealed. Or he goes on as Batman forever.
BUT John Blake is going to have a hard time, I guess. Wayne turned into Batman during long years of soul searching and extremely hard Ninja training. Even though that Symbol talk has some truth in it, Wayne IS Batman because it's his creation, his ingenuity and his physicality. You can't just take over that when you're only a cop.

And - digging through the thousands of Anticipation Station thread pages - I'm wondering: what became of this:

Or this guy, lol:

And it's so lovely when "insiders" get misinterpreted:
http://www.darkhorizons.com/news/216...lucius-details
Said waterfall is being used as the entrance to the Batcave by the production, and one insider claims it will be a part of the opening sequence of the film. [...] Said insider however mistakes it for being the "discovery of the Batcave" which we already saw in the first film.
Pretty sure he said ending sequence, because the location WAS used for the discovery of the Batcave.

No doubt part of Blake's inheritance is a set of "Ninjutsu with Bruce" video tapes.

No. The action figure in question is "Stealth Vision Batman."

edit: just wanted to add that something else I dug in the movie was how Ra's summoned his inner Qui-Gon to commune with Bruce! Ra's = not dead
At least Nolan had the sense to bring back Liam Neeson for the third film of his trilogy despite the fact that the character had been killed off in the first film.

I'm looking at you, Lucas.

Man, I really Ra's or the League of Shadows had played some kind of role (or at least been mentioned) in TDK. Hell, I would have enjoyed some mention of the monorail than Batman destroyed at the end of BB. I think there is a disconnect between BB and TDK with the look and feel of Gotham City.

Ha, yeah. I know they weren't planning a trilogy necessarily, but it would have been cool if Miranda Tate had been a character in TDK. Her reveal in TDKR would have been more of a shock.

That doesn't look like the capeless action figure I saw some months ago. The toy I saw was darker in color with what appeared to be a full mask like Batman Beyond. The chest emblem was blue in color but never the less looked like the BB one.

Tell me the one in this article doesn't look like BB:

So what became of this:
http://www.aintitcool.com/node/51048

Which movie did it end up with? It is a movie set, right? Or does - whatever it is - actually look like that?

^ I thought maybe that was the pit they threw Bruce into but doesn't look like either.

They didn't answer who killed that other cop in 'The Dark Knight' when Gordon says 2 cops were killed. I thought that might be a lead in to this film, reopening the investigation and finding out it was Dent.
