On the Dastoor, if the nacelles were ever so slightly higher, and the two sensor pods were shrunk and moved closer together and farther back to either side of the impulse deflection crystal, it would mirror the nacelles better.
would there be some advantage to that?

Re: Schematics made with Vance's toolkit

I decided to modify the Diana Class Scout which was created by Vance. I reduced the number of warp nacelles to just one and added a sensor pod.

Having the nacelles a bit above them would give clearance.

Loving the Shepherd, Knox, and Dastoor class ships. It's interesting what you can do with your computer, time, and patience.

Thank you, but you forgot two more things. Photoshop and Vance's tool kit.

Re: Schematics made with Vance's toolkit

Like the Knox Class I made a few modifications to the Exultant class. Again removing the “mega phasers” and replacing them with sensor pods.

Version 1

Version 2

Shouldn't be a problem, just try and credit the designers when possible.

Re: Schematics made with Vance's toolkit

I tried my hand with Vance's toolkit. The result is the Altair class cruiser, an ancestor of the Miranda class. This is the U.S.S. Altair in battlecruiser configuration, outfitted with heavy lasers and particle cannons. The year would be about 2245.

Re: Schematics made with Vance's toolkit

Sorry, but I think that the weapons units are mounted too high.
They may give the weapons far more clearance than the Miranda, but from a tactical standpoint, they stand out even more as an inviting target, and they look aesthetically off-kilter.
