Jessica Nigri: Babe of the week #29 (July 2012)

Jessica Nigri
(cosplayer, the promotional face of Lollipop Chainsaw)
Thumbs up= Thumbs down= Thumbs sideways=

Jessica Nigri is a cosplayer who gained notoriety at the 2009 San Diego Comic-Con when she dressed up as a unique version of Pikachu. Since then, she has been to numerous conventions and has built her celebrity status on her multiple high quality cosplays she presents to each con. She is often seen at product launches. When she was around 6-7 years old living in New Zealand, she watched "Big Bad BeetleBorgs" after school and was initially furious when they replaced it with "Pokemon" until she watched it for a couple episodes.
San Diego Comic-Con International, commonly known as Comic-Con or the San Diego Comic-Con or SDCC, was founded as the Golden State Comic Book Convention and later the San Diego Comic Book Convention in 1970. It is traditionally a four-day event (Thursday through Sunday, though a three-hour preview night on Wednesday is open to professionals exhibitors, and some guests pre-registered for all four days) held during the summer. Along with panels, seminars and workshops with comic book professionals, there are previews of upcoming feature films, portfolio review sessions with top comic book and video game companies and such evening events as awards ceremonies and the Masquerade, a costume contest, as well as the Comic-Con International Independent Film Festival, which showcases shorts and feature length movies that do not have distribution or distribution deals.

I think we have another Lucy Pinder situation on our hands here. She'll get a lot of flack for being too blatant or stereotypical looking, but come on would you really say no? Thumbs up.

She's not doing much for me. Cute enough but not enough for anything other than sideways.

Well, she's pretty cute and I like how she's built her own little niche using cosplay and the Internet-- she's the babe equivalent of an independent creator. I'll give her a Thumbs Up.

Also, I really like that "cloudy" costume.

Wow. A blonde girl known for nothing but wearing revealing cosplay costumes. I wouldn't "say no", but, common Aragon these threads get enough flack at it is for being sexist and some have tried to defend it saying it's more than judging a woman's looks. Here we have a woman known only for wearing sexy costumes and then you provide a bunch of pictures in most of which shes wearing revealing outfits only designed to titillate. One of those pictures being a thin piece of fabric away from being a proctology exam.

There's nothing here to defend. This just blatant, classless, pure "judge this hot girl!" I can't rate her based on her body of work (she has none), or on how she can be perceived in the media as literally what you see is what you get so what else is there?

How much I want to masturbate to these pictures?

Sorry, I don't do that and if I did it wouldn't be to this.

Thumbs Down simply because I've nothing to work with here beyond looks which she's shoving right into my face in fetish gear.

Anyway, thumbs down here as well, she does great work for geeks and all, but I don't think she's pretty.

Thumbs UP

Not because she's a mega hottie on a scale of equality the real "normal" contestants of actresses, singers or supermodels but specifically cause she's got that hot girl next door of reality going for her.

Plus I might say, as far as tie-in BOW go, kudos on this selection.

Eh. l'm giving her a reluctant thumbs down. Shes a little too old to be playing Lolllipop Chainsaw; not "old" as in haggard, but as in "smoked a few too many cigarettes in high school just to be cool and now shes paying for it ten years later" kinda old. Don't get me wrong, l'd bang the tar out of her, lts just that l've seen way too many hot babes this week to crown this chick Babe of the Week.

It's the week San Diego Comic Con starts...ergo CosPlayer who has gained some scant notoriety.
No different than choosing an actresses whose film opens or artist whose new music is released.

Other than both are celebrities with an actual body of work to judge on their own merits. Rather than woman known only for wearing revealing clothing.
