Re: Heroic Age/Avengers Ongoing Discussion Thread (Spoilers)

I'll check out a Fraction FF for a while as well. Bendis on any X Book...not so much. He's proven any time he has written something with X-Men, that he can't write them. So no. Hickman on Avengers has me drooling with potential. We should get word on these some time in the next few weeks...or Marvel will just wait until SDCC.

While I am a huge fan of Fraction's Defenders, I really haven't really been too impressed with him overall. Who knows? Maybe the word of mouth will convince me otherwise. It wouldn't be the first time. I love the FF, they are the first super-team I ever followed, so I want it to be good.

His early Iron Man work is excellent, same with his Uncanny X-Men run. Hickman is just going to be very tough to follow no matter how good you are IMO. He GOT what the Fantastic Four was all about. He made me a fan of the first family again, for the first time in a long time.

Newsarama article on Marvel's post AvX future...

Branded "ReEvolution", it touches upon many of the rumors already posted here.

Re: Heroic Age/Avengers Ongoing Discussion Thread (Spoilers)

That's pretty much the first step to me in confirming Rich's reports. I don't think Slott is going anywhere. He reported on his facebook page he was well into plotting 2013's Spidey stories (and very much doubt that he has finished his master plan for Amazing) He might add a book to his work load though, I doubt it. It should noticed that the articles I posted today aren't rumors. The article posted the other day was and Rich stated so. The creative changes he mentioned were through his own sources, and those usually turn out to be correct.

FF was the first Marvel team book i read, its also one of the first comics i started reading month to month. love Hickman's run. Fraction is hit or miss with me. really enjoy Defenders, his Iron Man run kinda lost steam when Tony rebooted his brain, X-Men and Thor stuff is hit or miss.

But then reruns of Heroes will no longer be RELEVANT...

It was so fucking funny when Hiro said that comics were stupid now because the Hulk is Red.

If the Hulk suddenly isn't red any more just 5 years later, then Heroes is going to seem dated.

Re: Heroic Age/Avengers Ongoing Discussion Thread (Spoilers)

It will surprise me if Red Hulk is the only casualty from this event. Just when the character was finally becoming likeable too. Sigh.

Protector sucks so hard.

He shouldn't.

Marvelboy was awesome.

Protector was okay in the first Avengers arc where they want into the Ultron future...since then he's sucked.

Ross Hulk will be back. If this had happened 3 years ago he likely wouldn't return soon as Loeb's writing on the character wasn't exciting. Since the reveal he was Ross somewhere mid-20's his fan following and importance has increased.

I say under 2years he's back.

Re: Heroic Age/Avengers Ongoing Discussion Thread (Spoilers)

That's if he even dies. I don't think anyone cares enough about him. He's only become likeable the last year or so. If Jason Aaron leaves The Incredible Hulk, I'll be dropping the title depending on who succeeds him. Maybe they're planning another big Hulk relaunch? To me the character has been inconsistently handled since World War Hulk. Aaron has done some excellent stuff with him.
