More images from the film...as the article notes though, these appear to be art clips or story board images, but still pretty cool.

So far I'm liking the designs for this. Can't wait for the preview.

Andrea Romano is voice director on The Dark Knight Returns, Parts 1 and 2. She doesn't fill that role on Superman Vs. the Elite (Dawn Hershey does), making it the first movie in the PG-13 DTV line where she's not the voice director.

Re: The Dark Knight Returns animated movies news

I thought I heard somewhere that she was no longer going to be working with DC. Or was that Lauren Montgomery?

Re: The Dark Knight Returns animated movies news

I believe that was Lauren Montgomery who was moving on from directing.

Lauren Montgomery left Warner Bros to take a job on The Legend of Korra.

Andrea Romano is also the voice director on Korra (as she was on Avatar: TLA), but that's alongside her work on the DCU movies and various other productions. Voice recording takes a lot less time than animation, so it's easier for a voice director to work on multiple projects at once.

I didn't know that was where she went. Very cool, I love TLoK.

Except I can't find a mention of Montgomery on the Avatar Wiki. And every episode of season 1 is apparently being directed by Joaquin Dos Santos & Ki Hyun Ryu. Is she working on the second season?

Here's the sneak peak featurette from the Superman Vs The Elite DVD. I'm excited for this.

I like the voice of the actress doing Carrie Kelley. Sounds like a good fit. I've never been a fan of Peter Weller's vocal performance, though.

And they're drawing on some familiar voice talent for the various newsreaders who pepper the narrative, including people best known for comedy work. I heard Rob Paulsen, Maurice LaMarche, and possibly Jennifer Hale. Now, is that because they want announcer-like voices, or is it to underline the cartooniness and melodrama of the news in the TDKR world?

The voice of the Mutant leader also sounded very familiar. Was that Bumper Robinson? Or maybe Khary Payton?

I suspect it is to underline the cartoonish, melodrama of the news in the TDKR world. Andrea commented about that very subject in the featurette. Hard to say about the voice cast theories, because only the main cast members have been confirmed so far, but your suggestions are probably on the right track. Ariel Winter is voicing Carrie Kelly, I think she nails it. Not feeling Peter Weller's voice for some reason. Maybe I'll change my mind when I hear the final product on DVD.
