Did I hear correctly that JERICHO came back for a 3rd season, on DVD?

Someone said something the other day about JERICHO coming back for a third season, but it could only be obtained thru Netflix.

Is that right? Does anyone know?

Netflix is exploring the possibility of making more episodes of Jericho. It hasn't happened yet.

It wouldn't be on DVD (at least, not at first). It would be a new season available on Instant Streaming.

I wonder if they'd even release it on DVD. Probably depends on the proportion of DVD-to-streaming rentals that Netflix is already seeing in their stats.

I'm kind of a completist when it comes to TV shows. If I already owned the first two seasons on disc, I'd want a boxset for any subsequent seasons that Netflix released.

It's pretty good too. Season four comics start in July.

Have they said anything about the comics in relation to the possibility of Netflix continuing the show?

At the level this discussion would be occurring between CBS and Netflix, I highly doubt any creative considerations would be in mind.

This is either going to be the greatest news ever, or the most crushing disappointment ever.....

If Jericho was the show that Les Moonves was talking about back in January when he said that they (CBS) were looking to work with Netflix on a show, then discussions have been ongoing for a while so hopefully we'll hear something before hell actually freezes over.
