I bet the store employees get asked all of the time if they can have that Batman display when they're done with it.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises Anticipation Station

Two new posters have been released. They won't be used for promoting the film itself, but only for merchandising.

Precisely the reaction/reference I had intended to conjure.

What do you guys think of the new official "A Fire Will rise' poster here?

Considering all the brilliant fan-made posters, this one is a little too safe

I think it looks like crap personally. I've seen better fan-made posters.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises Anticipation Station

I agree, that poster seems very cheap.
Fortunately, here's a selection of six better ones:

Why? Either way, this is the end of this version of the character on screen.

It's just a no-no.
He's an immortal character of pop fiction that hasn't died on screen cause he's a symbol of the fight you wish you could fight. To attain the justice you feel at times might be otherwise denied. To kill him would be to say that justice fails. That hope isn't worth having.

Even the on screen Superman Returns death was a fake out.
You don't kill James Bond.
You don't kill Batman.

Thats basically it. This isn't an Elseworlds story and it's never been pitched as one. I will be really annoyed if they kill off Batman.
