Up, but just barely. She was extraordinarily yummy back in the day, up through the first couple of seasons of Lois & Clark.

And then she lost weight. A lot of weight, which she really could not afford to lose. Her face suddenly acquired lines that should not have been there, and people watching the show noticed. When asked in an interview about this, she replied "Oh, they're just doing my makeup and wardrobe differently."

Who was she trying to kid? If that's the way the makeup people were doing her, they needed to be fired, because she looked rode hard and put away wet.

And then she did the Bond film and... ugghh. Seeing Teri Hatcher on the big screen should not have been the horror that it was. I actually closed my eyes and shuddered at one close-up.

Amazingly enough, in the last few years, she's actually looking better. Not as good as in her salad days, but definitely an improvement on Skeletor.

She was really pretty in the 90's. I first learned about her dating Richard Dean Anderson.

-She was hot in "Lois and Clark". No doubt a part of that contribution was her implants

-Did fine in "Tomorrow Never Dies"

-Came back in "Desperate House Wives" hotter than before.


She seems a bit kooky off screen but it's actually kind of cute.

About Tomorrow Never Dies...

Teri Hatcher says that she accepted her role in this movie to fulfill her then husband's lifelong dream of being married to a Bond girl. As it turned out, her scenes had to be filmed quickly because of an unexpected pregnancy. She later expressed her dissatisfaction with the part, saying it was "an artificial kind of character to be playing that you don't get any special satisfaction from it".

The whole situation with the timing of that pregnancy is interesting. It's the real reason Lois & Clark ended. It had already been renewed for a 5th season by ABC before she found out. Lane Smith, who played Perry White, said the belief on set was she timed it to get out of her contract.

He said that at A Superman Celebration in Metropolis, IL to me and a huge crowd. He dismissed any assumptions about bad ratings. ABC did not have much success at the time. Other actresses who are stars of television series have worked around being pregnant. I think she thought with the Bond role she would become big in movies. The baby was just a excuse.

Of course he career stalled for many years before Desperate Housewives came along.

There are a lot of different stories and vague reasons for why the show was cancelled. Some involve her pregnancy and some don't, but it didn't have to be a problem storywise. They could have written it in.

From what I read, the baby they got in the final episode was their child, sent from the future to be protected. If that's the case, they could have written in Hatcher's pregnancy as that yet to be born child.

I also read an account that suggests that her doctor advised her not to work while pregnant.

It's hard to know what to believe.
