8x18 - "Body and Soul"

From TV.com

While the team treats a boy who dreams that he's being choked and can't breathe for real, the doctors consider the significance of dreams. Meanwhile, Dominika learns a secret about House.
House Medical Reviews

Also interesting of note, the final episode of the series is to be called:

Re: House: Series Wind Down Thread (Series Discussion, Spoilers!)

I wasn't fond of tonight's episode. I didn't see the point in the Park-Chase sex dream storyline and the case of the week wasn't that interesting to me. But the end of the episode when Wilson tells House he has cancer has me glued to my seat and eagerly waiting for next week's episode which I can tell is going to be a heartbreaker.

They never explained the levitation.

I think the point of the case of week is to leave it up to us, the audience, to decide whether the cause of the boy's condition was sickness or the supernatural.

House is set (mostly) in the real world. There should be no "actual" supernatural in the show.

I was going to come in here and ask if the levitation was explained. It was weird.

I'm not really interested in the "it's up to the audience to decide". House should have smashed that one and he did explain it a bit.

Interesting ending that will lead to the final episode.

"Are you coming?" was funny.

He should have dropped to his knees and begged Dominique to stay.

I'm afraid I've lost interest in this show. It's been a caricature of itself for some time, and I've mainly stuck with it out of habit. But now with Eureka on opposite it, I just haven't been motivated to watch or record it. I tried watching last week's episode when it finally showed up On Demand today, but after seeing the discovery of the patient's "girlfriend," I decided I just didn't care where the story went from there and turned it off. This used to be a compelling, thoughtful drama with moments of incisive hilarity, but now it's become a sitcom where people compulsively manipulating and tricking each other week after week gets passed off as some kind of meaningful insight.

A lot of us feel the same way. Just a few episodes left.

He showed them the levitation magic trick which is one way of faking levitation. Magic.

Re: House: Series Wind Down Thread (Series Discussion, Spoilers!)

There was an episode in Season 4 where House treats a magician (the episode where the final diagnosis WAS, in fact, Lupus) and the magician performs a few tricks that, well, are impossible to pull off unless magic was a real thing.

In one of the tricks he causes Kutner's wallet to set-fire when being opened (fire-wallets are trick-wallets), he causes House's Vicodin pills to appear in his own hands without any meaningful contact with House and the "big" one is where he has House pick a card, the magician tries to "guess" the card and fails before throwing the entire deck at the wall in frustration causing House's card to appear on the other side of a glass wall.

Pretty sure i've seen that done on TV before.

Magic always looks impossible.
