i always thought the best depiction of Marvel i've ever read was during the Kingdom Come series... Captain Marvel actually became likeable throughout that lol

I agree with Dennis don't like the ass hole version of Billy. I guess Johns like Lucas thinks that to be cocky you have to a douche as well. Billy's portrayal reminds me of Anakin.

Billy could hate being Captain Marvel while still being literally addicted to the power.

Damn, I'm a bitter pill.

So you guys would rather have the "gosh, golly, gee whiz" Billy back? The one with absolutely no room for character devolpment in the last 50 years? I would rather have a paint by numbers jerk to hero quest set up, than go back to that again.

The Fury of Firestorm: The Nuclear Men #5 to #7: I've been a big Firestorm fan for most of my life and want to stick with this title, but it's hard to hang on and I'm considering dropping it.

Justice League Dark #6 and #7: I like the idea of a team of heroes using magic more than I like the actual stories. The art at the beginning of the second arc is pretty impressive though. The panels are almost life-like oil paintings. What I don't like is that the story continues in I, Vampire. I'll probably just flip through the relevant issues of that title at the store. I have no interest in actually getting it. I don't like the vampire arc anyway. Glad it's coming to an end.
