^ Different strokes/ different folks. I thought that the snowbound scene in Inception was a fantastic OMHSS homage. And IIRC he said that he wanted Batman Begins to be a bit like a Bond movie, with its globe-trotting, epic scope. Appropriate that he should use Ras Al Ghul as the villain, given that Denny O'Neill created him as a response to the villains of the Bond movies of the 1960s and 1970s.

I don't really agree with you about Hardy's sleaziness. Sure, he had a bit of that in Inception but I think he's a total chameleon; compare his character in Inception with that in Bronson. And he's recently essayed a spy twice - in This Means War and Tinker, Tailor... Having said that, I don't think he will be the next 007; I agree, it's likely to be someone we've never heard of or, if we have heard of him, won't have envisaged him as Bond.
I seem to recall reading somewhere Nolan was a big Bond fan, and there were a number of scenes in 'Inception' I thought seemed very Bond-like. I'd love to see him make a Bond film.

Harris looks like she'll be very comfortable with the action scenes, and I like that she says Eve imagines she's Bond's equal...she isn't, but she imagines it

Still not convinced about the French bird mind you

Another video, here with Daniel Craig. Who says he'll play 007 for as long as they'll let him. Yaaaay!!!

Hmm...Bernice's vid seems to imply that Severine will be a femme fatale--something we haven't really seen in a Bond girl since Miranda Frost. (Vesper doesn't count, as she was more tragic, manipulated....) And even she was supposed to be a "shock", so...

Looks like they really are going retro, with her. (Severine: a tough of the classic. Eve: a thouch of the modern.) Really looking forward to seeing her on the screen!

And from the "making a mountain out of a molehill category":

(You can just read the URL if you don't want to go to the site.)

Of course this will get some folks up in arms, but if you consider that Bond has never exclusively drunk martinis it's not a big deal for him to swag beer for once. I remember him drinking champagne, fine wine, saki, etc. And on a couple occasions in both film and literature he's been told to lay off the shaken-not-stirred soda pop anyway.

The franchise survived Bond graduating out of the PPK, I'm sure the world won't come to an end if 007 drinks a Heiny.

Actually, somebody totalled up the different drinks he has in the Fleming books and films, a couple of years ago, and came up with the fact that he's drunk about twice as much bourbon over the years than all the other types of alcohol he's had put together.

A bit like me, really...

And Fleming has it stated outright several times that bourbon is Bond's drink of choice. So, to hell with the Martini-lovers!

A huge spoiler has surfaced (no idea how trustworthy the source is, but it seems to fit with some other things that have been rumoured):

Also Heiniken has been a sponsor of James Bond as far back as "Tomorrow Never Dies"

Having Bond drink one is just one step further

Awesome news about the trailer, that was earlier than I expected. Regarding the spoiler that was posted above...hasn't that been discussed before? I didn't think it a new rumour.

If it wasn't, it's certainly something I expected considering other spoilers.

They make a mistake with goldfinger's release. As we all know it was released in 1964 not 1963.

That was a pretty good piece. For those of us following the production, nothing really new was revealed. However it was neat seeing some of the scenes being shot.
