I hope this proves to somebody that it's not how much money you pour into a production that matters or is relevant at all - that you don't need alot of money to do something great.

I'm curious if the uniforms were actually inspired by the uniforms worn by the crew of United Planets Cruiser C57-D?

Re: "Polaris"

Oh, absolutely...as is the central "holotable."

We even discussed the feasibility of a giant plexiglas sphere - the D.P. and lighting people were not strongly in favor of that, to put it mildly. Not that they couldn't have worked out the lighting and camera angles, but it would have run into both time and money.

I was privileged to see part of "Polaris" being filmed, meet the cast and crew, handle the props, read the script and more importantly stand on the bridge.

It was amazing stuff. It will be more amazing to see the final product.

Dennis carefully put together an "all-star" fanfilm cast and crew and I know it is going to show when "Polaris" debuts.

I miss that bridge set. It was fun to work on. I also got in a cameo because we needed some background action in one scene and no one else was available, so I put on a spare uniform, ran in, and ran out!

Actually, purple, but the orange color of the soil adds more red to the blast color when they overlap, which is something to watch out for when dealing with glows.
