This is true...it took place before Flashpoint and resolved Steph's "Batgirl" arc. When she appears in Batman, Incorporated which does take place in the 52'Verse, she will be Spoiler again.

I haven't had a chance to get to my LCS in a few weeks, but judging from the comments here and my own lack of enjoyment from the issues, I think I've decided to drop Justice League. It's a shame that for the better (worse?) part of the past 10 years, no one can seem to write a decent Justice League in my opinion.

As I've said before, I had high hopes for Johns, given his ability to capture the voices of so many different characters and his ability to write a damned good JSA comic. Honestly, in looking at it, I think where Johns went wrong was when he stopped trying to capture the essence of these characters from other writers and started coming up with his own interpretation of their characterization.

There's also a good chance that Johns can use his position as a sales powerhouse and part of upper management to not listen to editors.

That implies DC edits anything. Their pre-Flashpoint work really shows the editors don't do anything involving their job title.

I think that's more Didio than anyone else. The lesser editors are more or less just people in charge of enacting Didio's vision.

I don't know how it is these days but back in the Bryne era Mike Carlin was heard to grouse he was editor in name only of the Superman titles. I suspect that Johns and Morrie (among others) get similar treatment these days.

Someone else reading Green Hornet...that's good! Just the following for me today (this thread seems to be slowing down a bit now that the luster and excitement of the relaunch has settled down a bit I guess):

-Aquaman #7 (The Who Sunk Atlantis story beings)
-Superman #7 (Perez is gone, first Griffin/Jurgens issue and I still I would jump back to give this run a chance)
-Legion Secret Origin #6 (Final issue.This has been disappointing overall. Levitz needs to step down. Not at all what I was expecting).

Aquaman: Not too bad, an issue that seems to be more about setting up the current arc. Artwork in this book is still beautiful.

Superman: A very good issue in my opinion. Good artwork and good use of Superman in the book as well as setting up the villain for the current arc. I still don't think I'm completely sold on this look for Superman but there was some good things in this book.

The Dark Knight: A big battle with Bane and the book's current "White Rabbit" arc it's been running since the beginning comes to an end. This book I'm actually coming around too and not finding to be all that bad, it also makes nice use of Superman and Flash helping Batman.

The Flash: The artwork in this book is gorgeous as are the page layouts. The story is going along good with Flash having to deal with some of the consequences of the problems his powers can cause.

All-and-all, a good week of pulls from DC!

The new Superman comic reads alright much better than Perez hopefully they do something more with the current crossover direction with the daemonites. And I can't say how glad that Jurgens is only coplotting with Giffen writing.

Probably because Carlin had a reputation at DC as being even more of an asshole than Byrne.
