So if the Turtles are going to be aliens, what about Splinter? Is he now an alien rat, or will he not be in the movie because modern audiences won't "get him?"

With Michael Bay producing it, we can be sure of one thing... EXPLOSIONS! EXPLOSIONS FROM MICHAEL BAY!

Sorry, someone had to say it.

How'd that thing on South Park go?

"These aren't story ideas, Mr. Bay. They're special effects sequences."

"We know."

My only hope is that just as Bay gave intentional misleading information on Transformers perhaps he's doing the same here.

Aliens? As noted why call it TMNT?
If half the acronym is missing(mutant & turtle) then it's really a farce.

I hope Bebop and Rocksteady are in the Bay version. They were probably my favourite characters from the 80s cartoon; cracked me up every time they were on scene.

I suggest in this reboot, Shredder and Krang are actually in a relationship. The way they'd bitch at each other, it was like an old married couple. Let's go the whole hog and make them a (very) odd couple.

So which Victoria secret model do we want as April?

Will Mikey be a racial stereotype?

Michael Bay's response:

http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=88213

"Fans need to take a breath, and chill. They have not read the script. Our team is working closely with one of the original creators of Ninja Turtles to help expand and give a more complex back story. Relax, we are including everything that made you become fans in the first place. We are just building a richer world."

If they are still aliens I don't care if you did pay off and collaborate with Peter Laird(Eastman has been bought out remember). The movie still wouldn't be about the TMNT.

It's like having a movie where Bruce Wayne's parents are alive and well. But, hey take a deep breath it's still going to be great...trust me, we worked with the Bob Kane estate on some details.

If he said something similar about Transformers... be afraid. Be very afraid.

You know what made me become a fan in the first place? Teenage mutant ninja turtles. Which apparently aren't being included in the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle movie.

But don't worry Mr. Bay,following your example, i'll be spending exactly as much money as you'd want me to on seeing this film. That is to say none. I'm just building a richer world. For me.

Your predictions will probably turn out to be so accurate they should be considered spoilers as of right now.
