Unnamed Project/Iliad

A completely temporary placeholder name for a project I'm still not sure I'm following through with. The name doesn't mean anything per se, it's just a largely obtuse inside joke.

I figured I'd stop bumping the 'Twisted Web' thread since that project is completely on hold, at least until I have the time to at least attempt to organize a partially live action production.

The only thing getting recycled from that project is some of the 3d models.

I don't want to get ahead of myself this time but I actually do have an idea for a much smaller scale project in the interim. An unrelated story, but would let me put my CG assets to good use.

The basic idea would be to tell a much simpler story, and to tell it in small 3 or 4 minutes segments. Not going to say much right now, since it's quite possible nothing will come of it. I may post a few stills and/or animations from time to time if there's interest.

I may wind up trying to use a program like Poser to export characters complete with baked deformations. I'd hate to go that route since it requires extensive re-texturing and geometry cleanup, not to mention it can't directly export a rig, only poses.

Though I'll admit it can export in fbx, which is a handy interchange format.

You could do your main project in 5 or 10 parts... Doing it in small parts will keep interest up and help build a fan following.
I think if ST ever comes back to TV, this is the way to go.
A anthology serries could be done, jumping form TOS to STNG and Enterpris, using the computer animation you are doing.

Need two volunteers to read a handful of lines of dialog

I'm going to try and finish up the opening sequence, but it's really hard to pace the animation without having a rough idea how many seconds each shot needs to last. To that end, I have about a dozen lines divided up over two characters that I could use dialog for.

One is the guy in the EVA suit:

The other is going to be sitting in the office that appeared a few videos back.

The entire scene takes place in, on, and around Earth Outpost 7

If anyone is interested please let me know, and I can pm the lines along with an email address to send them to.

Also, these are not re-occurring characters. They appear only in this one scene
