Yeah, Andrea was in the same position, but she grew out of it and doesn't want to commit suicide anymore. If she had been allowed to get herself blown up at the CDC, she would be dead right now and the group would be less one person that can protect the group.

I don't understand why she treats Dale like crap. Ungrateful bitch!

Also that was a dumb move by Andrea. If she had let Beth die on her watch, instead of just her not being allowed in the house, the Hershel family would definately want the entire group gone.

This is another Rick or Shane argument. You gotta do what you gotta do to survive, but you can't get rid of your humanity. Eventually everyone will be suicidal, but that doesn't you just let everyone die.

The writing for women in this show is almost always godawful but I thought the plot with the women was actually an improvement this past week.

Indeed. This isn't bad writing. Plenty of women are like Lori who think a woman should cook and clean for her man while her man provides and protects her family. Don't hate the writing, hate the fact that Lori seems to be one of those women who is simply content to be a housewife.

Many shows like LOST do this all the time. It is a good way to develop characters since they don't have to share screentime with everyone else. I wish the writers would do this more for the show.

I'm not saying everyone needed a significant number of lines. I'm saying that they seemed to have vanished into thin air. Heck, there wasn't even anyone visible in the background when Lori went outside. It was odd. And that was a separate observation from the gripe about the writing, so not sure what I am "grasping at straws" about.

I personally thought the episode as a whole was not well structured. Merely an opinion and not trying to force that on anyone.YMMV.

Why do you need to see every character every episode? In real life people don't need to see everyone they know in real life to know that they still exist. The other characters could simply be doing something unimportant, which is why the writers decided not to include them in the episode.

Do you need to see T-Dog make a five second appearance and say one line in every episode to be happy?

I just think it was odd that we didn't see anyone in the background. It's the first time on the farm we haven't seen anyone except those important to the episode. In previous episodes there's always been other members of the cast wandering about. It's not that there aren't many in the background or that one particular person is missing. It's the fact that not one of them is fucking there. Is that clear enough?

I'm guessing the writers might have wanted the other actors to have a rest for this episode. They might be preparing everyone to do the season finale, which is bound to be intense and full of action.

After the way he went after that zombie woman ("Let's see what you've got, bitch"), and kept stabbing her in the head repeatedly, I think he's full of shit and is just as bad as the guys that left him behind. I'm not even convinced he really knows Maggie. Aside from using her name, which he could have easily picked up from the group, he gave no real information to back it up.
Sure, using Maggie's name may have put him one step closer to a bullet in the head, but he may not have considered that while he was trying to talk the guys out of leaving him tied upon the floor in Zombieville. I said he was full of shit, but I never said he was smart.

Why show a regular in the background and have to pay them for an episode when you don't need them and can save their pay for the week. Remember, the show was under pressure to keep its budget down.

and very little of the action took place outside on the farm. What they might of done was filmed two episodes at once. Split the crew in half, two directors and have two episodes with only half the cast each.

The sneak preview for next week's show seems to suggest that Daryl is going to conduct interrogation that would make Gitmo prison guards afraid.

If you're right, that may flush out any of Randall's lies.

That doesn't really affect his point though. Just because there's a real world reason behind it doesn't fix the problem.
