Think he may have meant Andy Mangles who co-wrote Forged in Fire.
Affirmative. What is he up to anyway, literary-wise? Anyone know?

Looks like there's nothing beyond Kobayashi Maru. But then, FiF had been on the agenda long before it was finally going to be published.

Come on, Andy. Where the heck ARE you?

There's only one way to get him to show up...

Hail! Hail! Fire and snow!
With A. Mangels we will go!
Far away for to see,
Andy Mangels, come to me!

I just spoke to him on the phone the other day, and he's busy as hell, from what I gathered--pitches, projects, DVD production stuff, and twirling that damn mustache.

Re: New Excelsior Novels?

Is there a list of all the Excelsior or Captain Sulu related novels? The Captain's Daughter, The Sundered & Forged in Fire come to mind. Are there others? I would think Excelsior would be a successfully lit series. I wonder why it didn't become its own series.

Those are the only print novels that center primarily on Captain Sulu of the Excelsior. But he and his ship make appearances in Mere Anarchy: Its Hour Come Round, The Fearful Summons, The Ashes of Eden, and Burning Dreams.

There are also three Captain Sulu audiobooks:

And there was "The Tabukan Syndrome," a storyline in DC's second TOS comic depicting Sulu's first mission as captain (incompatible with Forged in Fire), which was collected in the trade paperback Tests of Courage.

And to answer your question:

Lists all appearances, I believe...

Cast No Shadow is another novel with Sulu on the Excelsior.

There was his entry in the Captain's Table series but I don't think it was Excelsior-centric.
