I still think Cavill will end up playing Bond at some point. Maybe after he's done as Superman and Craig is done as Bond. By then Cavill would be in his mid-thirties, which would probably make him better suited for the role in the producers' eyes. His Bond would probably be more akin to Moore's and Brosnan's, which could be a nice change of pace after Craig's Bond, as long as the movies don't get stupid again.

I can't see Bond producers casting an actor who played another iconic role as 007. Especially if Man of Steel is successful and sequels are made.

I guess popular television characters don't count as iconic roles.

As successful as Roger Moore and Pierce Brosnan were on TV before their time as Bond, their roles never were even remotely as iconic as that of Superman. In a big movie adaption to boot.

True enough. I didn't mean to suggest they compared to Superman. I just meant that Moore and Brosnan weren't exactly unknowns before they became Bond.

Michael Fassbender would be perfect for the role, but for the time being I'm quite happy with Daniel Craig.

I never meant to suggest they were with my initial comment. But The Saint and Remington Steele are not nearly the pop-culture icons as Superman is.

It has nothing to do with how iconic the role is, though. It's about how well-known the actor's face is. I mean, who the *tutzifrutzi* is Brandon Routh today?

The guy who played Superman which the media would continually bring up if he was cast in another big time role such as James Bond. Anything is possible, but I can't see the producers wanting the attention of their latest Bond to be continually connected to another big character.

Agreed. Plus, if Man of Steel is a hit and sequels are made, Cavill will probably be playing Superman for the next ten years. I wonder if he'll want to play another franchise character after playing one for so long.

I hope he plays Superman for the next ten years. I have high hopes for MOS. As much as I want Michael Fassbender to take over the role after Craig is done, I doubt this will happen. He's going to be too busy between the FC sequel and other films to be able to dedicate to a franchise.

^ Plus, if his star keeps rising, I can see him household naming himself right out of the role. Personally, I bet that is why Clive Owen wasn't approached (depending, of course, on which rumor you believe).

I can see Benedict Cumberbatch as James Bond.

I do as well...but unfortunately I also see him as a rising star. He'll have at least one more series of "Sherlock", I still kind of hope we see him in "Doctor Who" somehow as well, or the Moff will find something else for him

Escalator stunt

http://www.mi6-hq.com/news/index.php...4&t=mi6&s=news

And a scene involving MI6

http://www.zimbio.com/photos/Judi+De...ll/KccANF7Tqcj

The scene is shot on Vauxhall Bridge with the *MI5 building in the background. It involves Dame Judi Dench (M) being stopped by armed police on the bridge. As she is being spoken to a loud explosion could be heard which makes M and the police officer jump. In the movie this will be the *MI6 building being blown up with the effect being created by CGI in post production. The filming caused traffic jams either side of the bridge as traffic was held back by real Police officers so they could film the scene over and over again from every conceivable angle. They took over 4 hours to film the scene in London, UK on February 12, 2012
