Re: Star Trek Online Discussion Thread (now free to play!)
Single cannons have a 180 degree arc, the DPS on standard MK XII ones is 212. Dual beam banks on the other hand have an arc of 90 degrees, and standard MK XII DPS is listed at 229. This depends on if you can maintain the forward firing arc of the cannons though. |

That bug was in multiple F2P test builds. Guess I shouldn't be surprised that it still isn't fixed. |

I am seriously thinking of making a version of my main alt to fly a Vesta an endgame just so I can have an STOverse version and a Destinyverse version of him. |

The only fleet action that I try without friends or fleetmates is Starbase 24 and that can be frustrating if the other players don't target the warships.

Crystallien Catastrophe and The Fluidic Space Gekli Herding one... Let alone gotten the trophy for one of the first 3 places (or is it only first place?). But then I think it would be a good idea to do all of the fleet actions with premade teams in private instance. they are meant for up to 20 players but can be beaten in a reasonable ammount of time with 5 decent ships/captains. All of them |

Although I've heard CE is still bugged. Is this true?

Vesta class needs to be a science ship, it's what it was designed for... it's science / experimental class... for long term research missions and such... can't see it as an escort, possibly cruiser like the Sovereign class, but it's main home should be science class M

Re: Star Trek Online Discussion Thread (now free to play!)
Howeer beating is is a matter of having high DPS to overcome the CE's healing and controlling the fragments. there is a very elegant kiting method that should be easier with teh new threatcontrol abilities. Or the pure AoE DPS method, which requires to concentrate the fragments in a tight spot between you and the CE. With scatter volley spam for example you could destroy everything the CE can throw at you and damage it at the same time. |

Plus Cryptic will usually ignore the intended role of the vessel anyway. Hence the Nebula-class as a science ship in-game. |

Re: Star Trek Online Discussion Thread (now free to play!)
![]() Game is fun enough, but they really need to get their act together technically. Servers were also slammed when I logged in earlier, had queues to get in, etc. They had better put more resources online before the FEs start back up next weekend, or they are going to lose a lot of new F2P players that are turned off by this...

Re: Star Trek Online Discussion Thread (now free to play!)
Anyhoo, has anyone seen the servers today?! They're packed! I was in a LONG queue before I ever got in to play, and even then I was only in 15 minutes before I got bumped. The STO forums just went down due to all of the activity, too! It's a mixed blessing, but yay, STO is busy!
