Plus, Bond was wearing trench coats and running in bullet time in wake of The Matrix.

What? That didn't happen? Well, it should have.

^ This just gets me thinking about what a Wachowski written and directed Bond film would be like.

That's more of a parody than jumping on the bandwaggon. I love the bit in Moonraker, where the door code is the theme from Close Encounters of the Third Kind.

I think it is obvious that the trend that Skyfall will lift will be ignoring The Last Stand.

Yeah I had a feeling I'd be the only one interested in this. I don't think it would be as bad or out there or whatever as maybe others are thinking. Maybe you get James McTeague to direct it and they just write the thing. I dunno. Michael Fassbender still to star

Keanu Reeves as Bond, spouting cod-philosophy in bullet time? No thanks!

I never said that. Keanu would be no where near what I'm thinking about. I'm sure the siblings could make a very traditional Bond movie if they were at all interested.

I know you didn't mention Keanu. But I just can't help contemplating such an awful prospect. I did like The Matrix and most of the first sequel but I just don't see them as right for 007.

Honestly I don't either. Broc just kind intrigued me with his above comments. I enjoyed "Speed Racer" as well...it's a guilty pleasure film of mine.
