Re: STO Trek BBS Fleet
I prefer wearing colors to match occupation, but I don't have a problem with a common fleet uniform. (especially since it's blue and Doc Lee is science) I normally use the regular colors with the away team so it's easier to track them as they run around doing their thing. Doc Lee wears the fleet uniform when representing the fleet, but he wears something else when off duty or just running around. He sometimes wears a teal All Good Things or a TOS medical uniform. I suppose you could have a tricolor uniform but most look hokey. Regardless, I think the uniforms should be easily identifiable to other players that any TrekBBS fleet members are from the same organization. Looks like the new fleet uniform will do that.

Re: STO Trek BBS Fleet
If you prefer wearing traditional Starfleet colors you can do that with your normal uniforms. When showing colors for the fleet it should be the new dark blue. But please keep the feedback coming.

Re: STO Trek BBS Fleet
Also, if a few days I plan on deleting one of my Federation toons and stating again from the beginning. Most of her stuff will probably end up in the fleet bank. Do we only take rare and better? |

Re: STO Trek BBS Fleet
Some changes on KDF side as well with the House of TrekBBS. Kaziarl will from now on be the XO of the house. House ranks go as follows: Recruit, Warrior, Officer, Junior Fleet Master, Fleet Master, First Fleet Master (XO) and Head of the House. Rank priviliges are the same as on Fed side. We don`t really have much of a House of TrekBBS going atm, so if you want to join us there as well, let us know. As such the house bank is very limited right now. Also, I have created a place holder uniform I am not really happy with it though. For that reason I have decided to have a uniform design contest. Create a KDF uniform for The House of TrekBBS. Only two requirements: 1. No C-Store components, it has to be doable with just standard parts. 2. Similar to the current fed uniform it has to have a TrekBBS color scheme. We will vote on the winner when all entrys have been made. I will create a seperate threat for this as well. Winner will get a rare surprise from the fleet bank (on fed side) Edit: Thread created http://www.trekbbs.com/showthread.php?t=157945 |

Re: STO Trek BBS Fleet
Played a little Dabo but wasn't having much luck. After Spin the Wheel, saw that some of the fleet were at ESD so went there. Everyone was doing their own thing. Oh well, Doc Lee upgraded to the new FED fleet uniform. It's good. ***************************************** Doc Lee have used phasers and photon torps all along. He was my Fed purist. Now two steps away from VA and thinking about switching to tetryon. Since the skill changeup, exotic weapons are more affordable point wise. Any thoughts on a sci off using tetryon? Style of play is to try to knock down the opponent's shields then hit them with Tyken's Rift or Gravity Well. Photonic Shock wave is fun to use, but don't like letting an enemy get that close (within 3km). Thanks. .

Re: STO Trek BBS Fleet
let's do shuttle do fighting ![]() I just played the Vault again and noticed that this looks like actual dog fighting now with lots of phaser and torpedo shots visually missing. Should be quite the show... i believe I will think up some special rules for this... Will definately more interesting then your standard Arena match.... Edit: It will most likely be mix of of Arena fight and capture the flag. Each team consists of several shuttles/fighters and will alternately be defending or attacking a capital ship. If the attacking team scores a victory against the capital ship without being wiped they can again go on the offensive. if the attack is thwarted the defenders become the attackers. Until one team gets, say 3 capital kills to win the match. Destroyed shuttles don't count for match win. The capitol ships will not be engaging and be totally passive, but can be buffed and healed by the shuttles. Last edited by Timelord_Victorious; January 20 2012 at 01:18 AM. |

Re: STO Trek BBS Fleet
As you mentioned, you can get dilithium from the different dailies (Defera, satellite repair, B'Tran & strange new worlds, investigate officer reports). You also get dilithium for the Doff missions (quantity varies by success) and you get 75 dilithium for dismissing DOFF's. The hourly events also reward dilithium (Fed/KDF Mirror event, Academy events). In the Academy events, you collect particle fragments and redeem them for dilithium. In the hour that the event runs, it's possible to get over 4,000 dilithium.

As usual, if your characters have been removed from the fleet and you return, just reapply for joining again. |

I had a real good time and hope we do this again soon. I also hope you enjoy your gifts out of the special vault. And I hope you post your screenshots soon, so everybody who wasn't there can see how fun it was. |
