Being a relatively small and "weak" tug, it would take probably two or three to tow really bulky vessels, hence the name "Pilotfish" (as in the little fish that frequently run with sharks).

The Avenger isn't a tug at all.

One DS9 episode had a small tug towing an Excelsior class, so they're not so "weak".

That's true, but I got the impression that was a pretty good-sized ship. The Pilotfish is a little ship with small, relatively low-power engines. It normally tows small freighters, scouts, etc. For something as big as a starship, it would take more than one.

The SFB battleship uses a carrier type secondary hull. You might try a dreadnaught with a container type secondary hull and two warp nacelles on the dreadnaught saucer...

Yeah, it uses a "thru-deck" style. The SFB carrier is a whole 'nother animal . Both cool looking ships.

A very cramped one in the "undercut" of the secondary hull. You can't see it because there's no aft view. 1 larger shuttle or up to 3 shuttlepods maximum capacity. The deck has to double as storage space and workshop for the shuttles as there isn't enough room for a separate maintenance bay.

That one was a bit of a struggle to get to come out right, given how much modding I had to do to some parts to get it to all fit together. The Bridge dome and "bulge" gave me fits for over an hour until I was satisfied.

I've got another one to upload and post soon as I can get my connection and Photobucket account to cooperate.
