Re: "Yorktown: A Time to Heal" - Official thread for the Sulu fan film
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2111493/ The film was made during their senior year in high school, and was shot on Super 8 film. Stan Woo and Da Han won the Sweepstakes Award for best science fiction film at the 1984 Hollywood Teenage Film & Video Festival, with Woo accepting the award on their behalf from actor Ernie Hudson (Ghostbusters). Yorktown: A Time to Heal was filmed 5 years later. Originally, the film was planned as a follow-up to their first film (which is why the title Yorktown II sometimes appears online). Once George Takei joined the project, the continuity of the high school film was abandoned. Although the film was finished, there are no plans to put "In Temporary Command" online at this time, as the filmmakers don't want the two films to be confused with each other. However, there is a chance that the high school film may be posted for fun once "A Time to Heal" is finished. Last edited by Captain Atkin; November 23 2011 at 10:32 PM. |

Ships that will appear in the film are: USS Yorktown NCC-1704 (TOS style) USS Yorktown NCC-1704 (refit model) Klingon K-Fighter Klingon Battle Cruiser (TMP style) S.H.A.R.K. vessel (the "Nagear" - a new design by Andrew Probert, similar to the Vulcan shuttle design from TMP).

Re: "Yorktown: A Time to Heal" - Official thread for the Sulu fan film
The film still needs to be transferred from Super-8 to digital so it can be put online. Chances are, it will be posted after "A Time To Heal" is made available online, although that could change. Personally, I think it would be fun to see the high school film first! Last edited by Captain Atkin; December 7 2011 at 07:53 PM. |

The guys who are filming in SF filmed a made a short video with Brian playing Hamlet (in the original Klingon) about three years ago. You can see it here at Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CiRMGYQfXrs |
