The fleet keeps you from grinding endless data samples to even GET to the high tier crafting items.

I can craft on both the FED and KDF sides. FED is master crafter, KDF is about 100 points short of master crafter. If that fits your needs, I'd like to be considered.

I'm working on a Tribble Breeding calculator, that should let you enter the Tribble you want to breed and list the food and Tribble you need to breed it. I'd like a some point to enter the Tribble you have, the Tribble you want and show a flow chart of how to get between them.

Fleet Event Tomorrow: Sunday, 6pm UK time, 1pm East Coast.

Ice Skating Tournament


You will race your fleet mates in pursuit of very cool rewards in 1v1 matches.

Provided we have enough participants we will have a qualifying round and knock-out races with a grand finale.

Rewards are as follows:

1st place: 250k Energy Credits and first choice for 1 Photonic Science officer, 1 Photonic Tribble or 1 Red Winter Box

2nd place: 100k Energy Credits and second choice of the above

3rd place: 50k Energy Credits and the last item of the above.

Everyone else will get 10k credits for participating.

So please show up, have winterly fun with your fleetmates.

And if possible RSPV on the fleet calender in game to give me an idea how many of you will be there.

Minimum would be 6 people.

I was out with family during the fleet event. Better times for me are early morning (before work) or after 10pm.

Cryptic dropped the GMT Defari Invasion then dropped the East and West coast events. Perhaps they are reworking it. When it returns, we need to see about getting a fleet event.

The DOFF system provides a ton of data samples. I also took advantage of the Crafting Event (20% discount on non-replicatable particles). I was able to craft an Aegis set for my KDF Sci, Jasmine, and one piece for my FEd Sci, Doc Lee. Crafting the Aegis set put Jasmine up to Master Crafter, so I now have MCs on FED and KDF.

DOFF system info

To correct what I previously said about the Colonial assignment chains, it seems to give a fixed reward. The Renown DOFF for the Delta Volanis cluster is a blue Defari doctor. So if you're in need of a rare doctor, head out to the DV cluster and run the assignment chain.

Heretic was on the DOFFJOBS channel last night. He said that he's fixed a lot of bugs on the DOFF systems and assignments. I think those have been posted in the STO forum. He avoided my question about the whereabouts of Nurse Chapel (there was a Christina Chapel DOFF on Tribble). :-P

I'm not getting any feedback from the TrekBBS fleet on the DOFF system. Is any of the info I'm passing along of interest? I can jabber about something else, like cruiser builds. Just let me know. Thanks.

I think it's appreciated. It's just you are probably the most invested member into the doff system.
I myself use it as a distraction between missions and rarely go out of my way for doffs, since I have the specialist I want on my activ roster.
Some of them already purple thanks to the tribble test weeks.
Most of them could be upped in quality.
I won't spoil it for myself by playing to excessively, since I believe it's meant to be a long term game component and not a grind to the top in two weeks system.

That way it will still be fresh enough when they update it and integrate it more into other parts of the game.

I suspect it will tie in with the upcoming crafting changes.

I also suggested on the STO forum to heal up injuries on ship and crew with doff assignments.

it's practical things like this that I am interested in, less in playing it for it's own sake.

One DOFF that's missing is the Emergency Medical Hologram. They can be used in a space slot to heal crew.

My VA doesn't use the DOFF system much except to pick up additional dilithium. Once my characters has the DOFFs they need for their space and ground slots, they'll slack off also. I'll just run a few DOFF assignments as a residual source of dilithium.

I was extremely happy with the rewards for participating on the Tribble Test Server. I received all of the available bonus items. The only sad part was that I could not keep all the cool DOFFs that I had collected. :-P

Although there are some DOFF chain assignments, I think the system could be made more interesting. Perhaps succeeding in some DOFF assignments would open up special missions for your character.

One nice benefits of the DOFF system is the ability to recruit Bridge Officers. My characters have received several purple BO's and a couple of green saurians with the efficient skill. Some of the BO's find their way in my character's bridge or away team. On that note, if anyone in the fleet need BO's just send me a note with your needs. I often refuse or sell BO's just to make room for additional ones. Strangely, I sometimes find BO's in my character's inventory. I tried putting some into the fleet bank but that didn't work.

Can someone give me a quick rundown of Doffs? What to look for in officers and assignments for example. (I'm assuming "Rare" or "Very Rare" assignments are a must.)

I cleaned up the bank a bit. Please make sure to put any items in the correct deposits, someone looking for rare particle traces won't find them, if they are in Food and Drink or Rare Ship Weapons.

You can stack data samples up to 250 in a single slot.

To get ready for a possible influx of totally new players next week you can now apply for an adjutant (formerly officer) position.
Please give us a brief description what responsibility you would like to take.
the goal is to have sort of department heads for PvP, Crafting, Raiding( STF/Fleet Action), etc...
You should be online and in game regularly to answer questions of other members, help with leveling and questing and if possible organize events and animate members to participate in them.
