Nice to see "glamorous and enigmatic" brought back to Bond Girls, I think.... The promise of an exotic accent (French, in this case), is also quite good to look forward to. [/QUOTE]

I know you're an American and basically a child, but when has the French (which there are several) accent been classed as exotic?

It's not exotic, but very sexy when female (and very stupid when male) - when I went to Strasbourg on studies, all our group concentrated on making sure we got the girls to speak to us in English for that very reason, even though we spoke French...

Ola Rapace in an undisclosed role. Rapace was officially added to the cast on 8 November.
Small world. Rapace has been offered the lead in a film I'm rewriting for a director, to be filmed in Australia later this year. I'm pretty sure he accepted, because he knows the director.

Bingo.

Perhaps an odd choice of words on my part, I admit. Just saying...there's something inherently...glamorous, if you will, about an attractive mademoiselle with a French accent....

BTW, Dimesdan..."basically a child"?

Interesting rumour regarding Fiennes role in "Skyfall".

Interesting possibly and certainly goes with the basic synopsis that's been going around.

^It should prove most interesting. I don't suppose the character will be revealed as having the rank of Vice Admiral...with the name of Sir Miles Messervy, perhaps?

Eh...how many films have had this rumor attached to it? And how many times has this movie had that rumor attached to it?

Personally speaking, I've always liked it when the change of recurring characters happens "between" movies.

Re: "James Bond 23" officially slated for 2012!

I'm surprised no ones picked up on this yet:

The first James Bond film in four years. Daniel Craig returns. Sam Mendes directs. We get Javier Bardem AND Ralph Fiennes as bad guys. And we get to see the characters of Miss Moneypenny and Q come into this iteration of the franchise. Yeah, I'm excited for SKYFALL. The story - about a downed intel satellite and the scrambling of various government agencies to retrieve it - seems genuinely different than the plots we're used to. But Craig has brought to Bond the grit and grim that i've wanted ever since I saw my first Bond film (FOR YOUR EYES ONLY, if you're curious). I think Craig is the best version of the character yet - and yes, I've seen, and love, the Connery films - and I'd bet that Ian Fleming didn't figure on how this character has stayd so cool throughout the years. SKYFALL may just be what Bond fans have been waiting for.
Pay special attention to the part I bolded. Quite interesting if true.

Incidentally, that snippet was taken from http://www.aintitcool.com/node/52446

Well, that story mentions "Miss Moneypenny". Naomi Harris is established as not playing her.

^ And the Ralph Fiennes as a bad guy would seem to contradict the other rumour of the day. Of course, that rumour could be the wrong one.

Who's to say someone else is not playing her?

Besides, that story is just a mishmash of everything we already know. With the exception of the piece I bolded. Seems the author is under the impression that everyone knows the plot summary, which is why he just throws it out there like it's nothing.

Of course there is nothing to say that plot summary is true, but it sounds pretty neat if it is true.

Looks like Aldo is getting his wish...

Thomas Newman is scoring "SkyFall".

Not really excited about this choice at all.

hmm, well possibly was time for Arnold to move on, much as I've enjoyed his scores. I hope the 007 riff plays more of a part in SkyFall's soundtrack.
