Jim Parsons talking as Dr. Sheldon Cooper.

That way the computer is always right and is obsessive to the point of initiating self destruct just to prove a point.

I'd pay to see/hear that
The funniest thing is, everytime I think about that idea, I can hear that Texan drawl over the comm.

Someone should edit a vid of ST:XI with soundbites from Sheldon.

Checkov: Captain! There is a disturbance in space!
Kirk: A disturbance?
Computer: Under normal circumstances I'd say I told you so. But, as I have told so with such vehemence and frequency already the phrase has lost all meaning. Therefore, I will be replacing it with the phrase, I have informed you thusly.
Kirk:...

A good voice for the computer would be James Earl Jones as Darth Vader...then watch fans heads explode.

Didn't Majel "only" do alternate episodes of Voyager? Who did the other episodes?

dJE
I think you're probably thinking of Enterprise. On Voyager, Majel always did the Federation computer. On Enterprise, she only voiced the computer in the mirror universe episodes. But that's not because they cast someone else, it's because the computers on the NX-01 didn't speak. And also, of course, on DS9 they had Judi Durand do the Cardassian computer on the station, but Majel still did all the Federation computer voices, like the Defiant and the runabouts.

I think that would be the Mirror Universe computer....when and if.

I recall when the movie was released, some people asking if the Jellyfish's voice was Kirstie Alley. That would have been cool.
Yeah, although Kirstie Alley seems pretty set on her new career of being the butt of all kinds of jokes about her size.
Kirstie Alley was the original choice for the new computer voice but J.J. couldn't pry the ham-loaf out of her cheek pouches to get a clear sentence...
TIP: never use laughing smilies in response to your own tasteless, tactless, and overwhelmingly unfunny humor.

Which episode was the computer calling Kirk "dear"?

I should know, but my memory is on vacation at the moment...
That one should be Kirstie Alley

Tomorrow is Yesterday. When the Enterprise goes back in time to the late 60s and captures Captain Christopher.

I don't really care (who does really ? Come on, be honest) but my choice would be Marina Sirtis.

William Shatner. He can turn "Red Alert! Red Alert! All hands to battle stations!" into a spoken word song.

How about Roxann Dawson? I thought she was pretty good as the voice of the computer in the Enterprise episode Dead Stop.
