Which version, if you don't mind me asking? When did Ubuntu have those grey bars?
Not at all. It's Ubuntu 10.04 LTS.

^ Awesome!

Speaking of Christmas, I'm hoping MLP fans and artists put out a few Christmas wallpapers. Until then, I really wanted a nice splash of color and went for this for now:

One I just picked up:

Sorry for the image quality... I screen-captured the pic and blew it up to wallpaper size. It's a shot of my town from the 1950s -- no, it doesn't look at all like this now.

Neat! I love Americana, and that's a perfect example, CaptMurdock.

I always thought the Big E-D looked gorgeous on the big screen.

Mars, baby. It's a photo taken by the Opportunity rover when it first arrived at the rim of Endeavour crater. See a somewhat larger version of the image by scrolling to the bottom of the page here.

Wow. You know, when I was a little kid, I never dreamed I would ever see actual images of another planet. I saw artist's conceptions and such, but never high resolution, full color real-time images of a planetary surface. What luck that it would be my (2nd) favorite planet in the solar system.

Sorry, love the wallpaper, and it just reminded me of that.
(also, Cool Dashie for the win! )
